As he should be. Going to be dangerous with Herbert.

Daboll and the GM Telesco both went to St Francis as well.

Well shirt. Between Herbert and 2 Buffalo guys, it would be like the Bills 2.0 down there

My biggest question is how many coaches leave with him. Could be a few of them.

I think a lot would depend on who we hire at OC- from within less from the outside more

Another poster in a different thread pointed out most of the offensive staff has ties to McDermott and that daboll only brought in 1 guy of his own

Dorsey has never called plays.  Not saying he can’t do it but I don’t think it should be a foregone conclusion that he’d be the next man up.

I really wouldn't be shocked if they hire from the outside

I expect a promotion but don't think it's as sure of a thing that's being talked about around here

I'd think the Chargers would be a bit nervous about hiring another Bills OC.

slight difference - one was let go and second would very much be a Bills OC if not for the promotion.

That said, I actually like Anthony Lynn. He is very good as a strategist. Just needs to improve his in-game tactics. Maybe hire an in-game calling situational specialist as an assistant and he would actually be fine as a HC somewhere after spending time as an OC. The Rooney rule will help him.

Continuity for the offense is so huge.  The worst thing they could do IMO is bring in someone with a new system.  Would rather have Dorsey and the same offense with limited previous play calling experience than a new OC with new system that has called plays.  It seems Dorsey and Josh have a good relationship, he knows what Josh is good at and likes, and at this point Josh is getting familiar/experienced enough to check into his own plays at LOS more and more

If we go another week in the playoffs he might have to be (or at least an internal hire might) because external candidates are gonna start being hoovered up.

Hopefully he stays. But this match made the most sense from the start.
If I’m Daboll that’s where I want to go- a loaded team with a good qb that can win now.

Without bad time management and situational game management the chargers would’ve been right there fighting for a playoff spot.

First thing I do if I’m Daboll is overhaul that strength and conditioning program. The chargers get ravaged with injuries every year.
