Democrats said no. How utterly absurd to even consider that a president has a constitutional right to commit crimes before leaving office and not be held accountable because there is not enough time to hold impeachment and conviction proceedings. This type of garbage is why honest, moral people hate lawyers. If this is the law then we need to immediately begin rewriting the Constitution and if we are going to let's go ahead and make many other needed changes: drastically limit the right to own guns, make it clear corporations are not people, make it clear money is not speech, enshrine people's control over their bodies, strengthen the separation of church and state.
