SlimShady'sSpaceForce
NFL weekend open thread: Buffalo Bills looking for some clinching scenario help https://www.buffalorumblings.com/2020/12/26/22200368/nfl-weekend-open-thread-buffalo-bills-looking-for-some-clinching-scenario-help The Buffalo Bills can clinch the two seed this Monday with a few games going their way. They need the Indianapolis Colts to beat the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Green Bay Packersto beat the Tennessee Titans. We’d also be more than 99 percent certain of a Bills two seed with a Steelers loss coupled with the Cleveland Brownsbeating the New York Jets.

frostbitmic
My crystal ball says we clinch the #2 seed Monday night. The Colts should beat a crashing Steeler team. The Packer vs Titan game should be a fun high scoring affair that the Packers being the better team should win. The Jests aren't winning two in a row and the Browns still have a shot at their division, they'll kick Jest backside. 2 minutes ago, Seasons1992 said: THIS Is why the 2 is still super important; not the opponents. #2 seed is huuuuuge... If the Chiefs get upset the #2 would host the AFC Championship game.

BfloBillsFan
I still think there is something about the cold that some teams have difficulty playing in. I say, get the two seed if possible. If KC ends up losing there is potential to hold the AFC championship in front of 6700 fans 2
HailMary
Let’s hope Steelers and Bills win out. I’d rather have the chance to play the Steelers in the divisional round rather than Titans or Browns who would be a tougher out for KC.
Punching Bag
Unfortunately for those rooting for Pittsburgh loss: https://sports.yahoo.com/steelers-activate-lb-vince-williams-184711563.html Quote Finally some good news for the Pittsburgh Steelers defense. The team announced on Wednesday that starting inside linebacker Vince Williams has been activated from the Reserve/COVID-19 list. This means there’s a great chance Williams will be available this weekend when the Steelers take on the Indianapolis Colts. Williams has missed the last two games after testing positive for COVID-19. The Steelers defense has struggled in recent weeks to slow down the run game so getting Williams back this weekend is timely. The Steelers have a chance to lock up the AFC North crown with a win over the Colts.

There is a better scenario we should be rooting for where we don't even need the Titans to lose. If the Browns beat the Jets, and the Colts win, we basically clinched the 2 seed. Except for a tie in this scenario, the winner of the Cleveland vs Pittsburgh would have the same record as us. We would win any tiebreaker over the AFCN teams, and they would also create a 3-way if the Titans win out. We win all 3-way ties. So it's easier to root for the Browns beating the Jets, instead of the Packers beat the Titans. This is the easier scenario, but it isn't guaranteed because of potential ties. The packers are still playing for the number one seed though. I think they’re going to be pretty motivated to beat the Titans. Also, it’s a statement game for either team with both of them being good. If the Titans and Steelers lose, and we win, we are 100% clinched into the number two seed. it would be so good to be able to go into the final week with the #2 seed sealed.
BillsFan619
Ugh! The Colts two starting offensive tackles are ruled out for tomorrow’s game against the Steelers. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/30600679/indianapolis-colts-rule-lt-anthony-castonzo-rt-braden-smith-vs-pittsburgh-steelers

SlimShady'sSpaceForce
what helps Buffalo helps Miami Week 17 implications The Dolphins’ best chances for a win in Week 17 come, of course, with the Buffalo Bills sitting their starters to rest for the postseason. In order for that to happen, we’ll likely need to see the Bills clinch the No. 2 seed in the AFC ahead of their contest with Miami. That scenario plays out with several Week 16 outcomes — but thankfully for Miami they’re all fairly straight forward.
