Based on his current pace, Josh Allen will break into the:

- Yards/Top 20 = 12th Season (2029, Age 33)

- Yards/Top 10 = 16th Season (2033, Age 37)

 

Top 10 is probably doable for Allen if he stays healthy, and he plays a normal length career.

 

Top 5 may be a stretch.  Patrick Mahomes and Jared Goff are also steadily moving up the list.  So to break into that group, he would need to surpass 72,000 yards.  His current pace doesn't reach that until about 40 years old/Year 19.

I don’t really care about yards…how about total TDs?  Brady leads all time with 677 (649/28) so Josh isn’t even halfway there yet (290)…although Brady did play for 23 years and Josh is only in his 8th season.

I think that the most fun one to follow will be rushing TDs. He has 75 right now. If he adds another 90 (doable) he has the most rushing TDS all-time!! He will need 46 more (he’s a lock to do that) to break into the top 5. 🤣🤣 It’s going to be wild when he starts passing names like Jim Brown, Walter Payton and Barry Sanders.

Hurts could break that since he is only 15 behind right now and probably will have a few more years than Allen.

I don’t think he keeps up with Allen, I believe Hurts relies more on his oline and scheme(tush push) and that’s less likely to remain intact over the long term. Should the NFL ban the bum push then he has zero chance of hanging with Allen.

 

 In my humble opinion of course.

He could but it doesn’t look like Allen is going to slow anytime soon. Josh Allen has played 43 regular season games since the start of 2023 (I’m not counting the game he took the snap and left). In those 43 games he has 37 rushing TDs!! They’re using him more in the red zone and I don’t think that will ever change. He’s way too efficient down there.

I doubt they ban it. It's one of the safest plays in the NFL.

I agree. I see no reason to ban the play from any standpoint. It just needs to be officiated closely to catch false starts, Offside, lining up in the neutral zone, etc.

Edit: Guess it’s because it’s based on Hall of fame QB’s. Really should put Mahomes on there though as he would be first in some of the categories and of course Allen would be first or second.
