C.Biscuit97 Posted November 24, 2020 Share Posted November 24, 2020 When we traded for Diggs, he was a good player who suddenly became Jerry Rice. It seemed like Bills fans began completely overrating him. But the guy has been nothing short of awesome. Averaging 15 yards/ game more than any season in his career. Our passing offense has gone from 201 yards (7th worst) to 278 yards/ game (4th best). Obviously, Allen deserves a ton of credit but basically the only major difference is Diggs. Additionally, Beasley is having a career season. I know only QBs can win now but the impact of Diggs on this offense seems to be MVP caliber. He also has been a great teammate and seems to be genuinely happy to be a Bill. side note, is this trade the most win-win in nfl history? We get a stud and Minnesota gets a stud replacement. Even in the year Moss broke the single season record for receiving TD's he wasn't going to edge out Brady. His arm gets worse and worse as the season goes on. He’s never even played in a playoff game. Winning game are a QBs responsibility. He’s always been on bad teams, which isn’t his fault.....but it is. Good teams don’t want him to be their starting QB which is a great measuring stick for making the HoF. Different positions have different values. So when talking about the Most Valuable Player, it's always going to start with the most valuable position. It's easy to give it to other positions when talking about just one game (Super Bowl MVP for example), but when you are looking at an entire season, it's going to default to the main position. Other positions can get it, just nearly impossible for a WR to get it because their productivity is a direct result of the QB, which you can agree, has a MUCH greater impact on each and every game. And I wont have the Fit debate with you here. This isnt the thread for it, or for me to point out it is the Hall of FAME, not Hall of Stats or Hall of Wins. It's just a marketing tool for the NFL. If I was a player, I’d kinda hate qbs haha. Average ones gets insane money and they are the only ones who can win MVP. like clearly, Derrick Henry is the MVP of the Titans with Ryan Average but Tannehill makes like $15 million more than him.
