Playoff Machine is up and running

It is a big day for me- no work and time to run simulations. I have run it many times in many different ways and unless Roethlisberger or Mahomes get hurt we are not getting the 1 or 2 seed and unless we basically collapse we should wrap division on December 28th since we will have the tiebreaker on Dolphins.

Have to say given the choice of opponent for the playoffs I'd pick the Browns.

I would not. Of the top possibilities of a first round opponent they’re actually the last ones I want. Including Tennessee.

Who would you want?

With the Browns, we would basically have to sell out against stopping the run for 60 minutes and make Baker Mayfield beat us. Chubb is a monster and Kareem Hunt, a former All Pro, is the next man up. With our performance against some of the lesser RB's we have seen I believe it's still a tough matchup. We definitely need Milano healthy for the playoffs.

I just don't like our potential matchup with the Browns. I like us against Indianapolis and, naturally, Miami again.

Just curious. Colts or Raiders would be my #2 from the list above (Miami wasn't on the list). Tennessee is going to be a tough out, Henry is in rare form.

I'll take Mayfield/Chubb over Tannehill/Henry any day.

absolutely.  from most confident to least confident in the bills to win the first round matchup id rank the teams like this:

miami

Browns

colts

ravens

raiders

titans

True...but any playoff matchup will be tough.

My son came up with a scenario where the Cowboys, Redskins and Giants all make the playoffs.

I'm imagining all the Pats fans scrambling to find a way to make the playoffs. Good times.

Does anyone in the NFC East even WANT to make the playoffs at this point?

They'd instantly go from a top-10 pick to 19th overall (as a crap team) based on the draft rules.

Has any team ever won a division with 6 wins?  Cause I think it is going to happen in the NFC East this year...Philly is a dumpster fire even though they technically lead the division due to a tie...Giants are just not that great even though they play teams tough they still usually lose, and Redskins are...well the Redskins. Cowboys are back in a 3 way tie for second place but does anyone legit see them getting 3 more wins??
