[Name Only Title] Jalen Ramsey

WIDE LEFT

Recommended Posts

Ramsey will soon be the highest paid CB in NFL history. And for good reason. Many thought the Bills got a great bargain when they signed White, and many pundits criticized White for signing that contract, but when u compare these two players you can see the difference between great and pretty good. Ramsey completely shut down Metcalf yesterday, while the reaction by Bills media to Metcalf’s performance v Bills was basically “well he is going to get his”. And of course Hopkins destroyed White in playoff game last year, and again yesterday. That doesn’t happen to Ramsey, who will be paid accordingly. I think it’s safe to say the Bills were very fair to White with the contract they gave him.

White hasn't been following the top receiver. He has been playing zone. Why? Because he has been hurt (and offenses are STILL doing everything they can to avoid him).

And are you claiming that Ramsey has never been bested by a receiver? How about him giving up two TD's against the Bills this year? One to Diggs and one to the TE when Allen moved him with his eyes. Guess he sucks and shouldn't get paid because he got beat a couple times, right?

As a courtesy to the other board members, please use more descriptive topic titles. A single name if far too vague to post as a title and provides little insight into what specifically the post is talking about. The topic starter can edit the topic title line to make it more appropriate.

Thank you.

I could be wrong but I thought outside the last play Tre White covered Hopkins pretty well. He had 6 catches for 84 yards before the last play and Hopkins had one crossing route that went for 28 yards when white wasn’t covering him. It was the play after Dane jackson got hurt.

Don’t regret us extending White.. His contract will be a top 8-10 contract within a year or two... which is exactly what he is.. Very good corner but not a shutdown corner but he will make you pay if you test him enough..

I mean he has only allowed 15 catches through 10 weeks (while fighting off back, ankle and knee) injuries.  But why should people use facts when trying to bury a guy like the OP?

Off Pro-football-reference

Tre White Stats

28 TGTs, 15 Catches 234 yards 2 TDs, 1 Pick

Jalen Ramsey

33 TGTs, 17 catches 186 yards, 1 TDs, 1 Pick

Pretty Comparable if you ask me @WIDE LEFT

If you watch the games White is definitely not his normal self this year. Hopefully injuries and not aging or igotpaiditis setting in.

How are you watching White on a Broadcast angle and coming to the conclusion he is not himself?

So now a 1st team All-pro is no better than “top 8-10”? Yikes

Yes, obviously more thorough analysis with coaches, tape, knowing the assignments, etc. could be done. But from the eyeball test he is getting beat more than normal. He gave up 0 TD's last year and already 2 this year. QB'S have a 90 qb rating vs 40 last year when throwing his way.

You need to know what your re talking about before you make a thread next time.

Oh, the things you read on here the day after a loss.  Most of you miserable bastards don’t deserve a football team, let alone a player as good as Tre White.  The guy was a 1st team all pro last season and has been playing most of the season injured.  Now he’s just “pretty good?”  Yeah...okay.

The chooch OP didn’t even know that Ramsey already signed a huge contract extension in September 🤦🏾‍♂️

The eyeball test? When 90% of the broadcast coverage doesn’t show anything in terms of DB play.
