Ed_Formerly_of_Roch
Interesting when I saw this thread, my first thought of Adderley was as a Packer, but then saw thread was started by CowgirlsFan. Do recall him with the Cowgirls though too.

Neo
I “met” Herb Adderley as a boy, living on Auburn Avenue, on Buffalo’s West Side. It was 1972 or 1973. A rabid Bills fan, of course, I somehow found a copy of “Instant Replay”, by Jerry Kramer. If you’re of an age, read it. If you’re of that age, and read it as a boy, it’s with you years later. If you’re among the less fortunate, and no where near that age, the book is probably not for you. The sensibilities, the approach to life, the view of man and his place in the world, will confuse and disappoint you. Martians, or some such .... RIP, Mr. Adderley ... the chain link to men of that era shrinks by one.

reddogblitz
Growing up as Big Cowboys fan in the 1960s I hated Herb cuz he intercepted a Don Meredith pass in the EZ to lock up the NFL Championship and 1st SB berth. We would have killed the Chiefs. But I learned to like him after we traded for him and he started making picks for us. Sad to hear the news.
