Edelman out this week

Belichick has to know his only path to the playoffs this year is via a division win.  And even that that already seems like a really tall order.

He HAS to beat the Bills this week, or he might as well pack it in for the remainder of the season and start to configure the team for how it wants to be next season and going forward.

Have to assume they will come out desperate and dangerous.

"Knee injury?" Belichick is losing it. That's a "lower extremity injury" in Patriotspeak.

Probably an "upper extremity" injury in Patriots speak or no injury at all!  Lie as much as possible.

Maybe he is losing it.

Question for those who know about Defensive schemes more than I.

With the Pats* having these WR problems, the windy conditions and them probably running a lot my question is this...

Do the Bills run more "Man to Man" coverage of more "Zone" coverage?

Which scheme is better against the run in this situation?

If Cam runs then you want more man to man.  His rushing is down however in the last few games.

Put White on Harry and go man with the rest.  Bring the pressure and force Newton to throw quick - not his forte.

While this is a big advantage for the bills since Edelman has owned this team in recent years, this opens to the door for Belichik to carve out a nice role for some of the younger under the radar players they are developing this year.

So hopefully another 'no name' type doesn't explode for a career day against this secondary but you get the sense that's coming anyway the way this defense has played all year.

Edelman not playing is not some big advantage for the Bills, he is a shell of what he was, esp with Cam at QB.  In his last 4 games Edleman has accumulated a whopping 79 yards.

As of now sounds like Harry is questionable to play too.

My thoughts were man to man too.  Bills CBs play one up on each WR and force Newton to win those battles with his arm.

That opens the Safeties to key first in the running game.

Not sure if that is the norm for a situation like this.  I don't see a lot of 3 WR sets for the Pats* and their TEs are not good too.

Thanks.

Anyone else have thoughts on this?

Good news. Although he’s not nearly as effective without a pinpoint passer.

Little tidbit: The Patriots' healthy receivers on the 53-man roster: Damiere Byrd, Gunner Olszewski and Jakobi Meyers.

Gunner Olszewski?

Sounds like a Cheektowaga boy if I've ever heard one.

Maybe Pegula is giving ol' Bob "the mullet" Kraft a taste of his own medicine by infiltrating the Pats organization with a spy.

This might not be a 'Happy Ending' for Bob this time....

Too Soon?

Not soon enough?

Or just need to win... A "W" doesn't get bigger or smaller depending on how many points you win by.

Ok McDermott. That's a load of BS. The bills complete inability to blow out garbage teams is a big concern.

knee injury that will cost him some game time.  Not out for the year but may require surgery.

Good news for Sunday!  He’s been bad this year but he’d wreck Taron on his worst day

You add bad weather with high winds AND We better be ready for a heavy doze of pats**** trying to pound  the ball down our throat ,

If I’m the Bills I stuck the box and dare them to throw ,
