Buffalo Bills: This is your moment.

Recommended Posts

Let’s face it 5-2 feels great, but there’s reason for skepticism all over the place. An honest fan knows and can feel this. From the horrid run defense and suspect pass defense for all but one half of a game this season, to the minimal conventional running attack, to the conservative coaching strategy to constantly play not to lose. Even Josh has given off an aura of uncertainty the past three weeks.

I’m both a diehard Bills fan and a realist. I root for this team passionately, if not too passionately per my wife, and throughout 30+ years of emotional

investment I’ve learned nothing surprises me when it comes to the Bills. Call it BBFS, call it whatever you want.

With all this being said, I believe next week’s game at home against the Pats* presents an opportunity that Buffalo has not had for roughly 2+ decades. Following the Pats blowout loss today, this is the Bills moment to take control of this division with an emphatic win and show that this is your division for the next extended amount of time. It’s your moment to show that the East goes through Buffalo now.

I don’t care about these past seven weeks. I don’t care about a suspect defense, questionable coaching decisions at times, and an offense that couldn’t reach the end zone against an 0-6 defense. That’s in the past. I care about the Bills putting a beat down on NE and seizing control of this division and announcing themselves as legit for the rest of the year. I care about the Bills realizing how damn good they can be if they play like sharks who smell blood in the water.

An emphatic win and dominate effort on both sides of the ball will put everything that I’ve doubted about this team the past few weeks behind me. If you’re McD and Co. you have to put the most complete game plan you've ever had in Buffalo and go for the jugular right from the start.

This is the biggest chance to make a statement and the biggest Bills game in recent memory. This is your moment, Buffalo Bills.

Generally this is when they collapse. Bills were Billsy today, that ain't going to work agaist Belichick.

They were indeed. They can change recent history, the present and future with a big win next Sunday.

Leave it all in the past. Will they? History says no, but optimism rings hope.

A lonely, semi-quarantined nation is now looking to Buffalo.

The Patriots tormented this league for 2 decades.  The Bills have an opportunity next week to absolutely end it. No questions, no door left open, no doubt.

And we SHOULD.  The Bills - despite our shortcomings - are the better team. And for the 1st time since the '90's, we have the better QB.

This is long past due.  Win this game, and put that team in the past.

Teams just have to get hot at the right time. I’ll take the ups and downs now to get hot week 15 and get into the playoffs with momentum

Tennessee did just that last year and rode it to the AFC championship game

Today's game is probably a losing effort against 95% of the league.

Our record is greatly benefitted by having played the worst team in the NFL TWICE already.

That's really lucky.

Going forward, Miami may well represent a greater threat to the division than NE.

NE is having serious trouble moving the ball down the field and putting points on the board.

Exactly. We seen the offense start hot, hopefully today is the start to the defense getting hot.
And if we’re lucky after the bye both sides get red hot for the playoff run

The Bills have seized the moment only 1X emphatically in the McD era and that was the thanksgiving day crushing of Dallas. It looked like at the start of the Houston playoff game that we were going to do it again but choked.  On many other occasions where the pressure was on or they were under the national spotlight they have seriously sht the bed and looked  unprepared and nervous from the coaches to the players.  I really hope that this trend finally stops when we face the Pats. The Pats have become our "70's Miami" for the 21st Century so far.

Superman's weakness = Kryptonite

Buffalo's weakness=Brady

Todays NE with no Brady means no more excuses Buffalo!!!  NONE!!!

You must destroy NE and beat these guys down big time so they know who rules this division now!!!

It must be done in both of these games this year.

NO MORE EXCUSES BUFFALO!!!

That means no conservative not to lose coaching theme either.   Take the Hint McD!!

Hey NE this is for you!!

I’m not huge on symbolic wins. Fans overuse the idea. But a definitive win here could be a statement game.

even if many of our players don’t have deep history in this rivalry, all of them are well aware who they have to knock off to be the top guy in the division- which is something.

Yes.  We were definitely billet today.  Our offense moved the ball just fine, then the penalties kicked in at the worst times.

Every time we get here, we come up small.  It’s time to stop talking about it and start being about it.

Can’t argue with that.  So true

Can we stop their run game?

Can Josh Allen play a complete game vs a BB d?

Keys to the game imo

Josh Allen needs to run the ball for 60+. I don’t care if people like it. I know everyone’s going to say it’s not what you do with your QB. That is how we win. That is how our team reaches its potential. We don’t beat the good teams because we try to let Josh beat them from the pocket. Let him do what he does. Make quick reads and smart decisions out of the spread and run for back breaking first downs. The smart defenses will frustrate Josh as a pocket passer. Let him keep them honest with his feet. Almost nobody can stop him from running. It doesn’t matter what it looks like and it doesn’t matter how other teams do it. We need Josh to run.

It's the biggest chance to win the division.  You want to make a statement, beat Seattle.

Watched the Panthers do it with Delhomne and the Giants do it with Eli. Mediocre teams hitting at the right time. Just said this to my kid earlier.

A dominant victory against the team that has destroyed you for the last near 20 years would be HUGE

I do understand what you're saying but the Patriots are a shell of their former selves.  Miami is more impressive than they are right now.  NE QBs threw more Ints today than JA has all season.
