Jordan Phillips has been missed

Recommended Posts

Jordan Phillips gave the Bills a huge push up the middle and were not getting that this season,  now we have our ends just racing up field .  QB'S are just stepping up and making throws,  huge error not resigning him.  This defence is bad because we cannot get pressure and our DB'S cannot stick we receivers for extended time,  our pass rush is trash

Star also got a lot of hate but his value is also showing currently.

Sean needs to do something because this is just going to get worse

I’ve been saying this from game one about Jordan and star!

No push,  he already has 2 sacks and multiple pressures with Arizona

We just need dogs.. and Jordan Phillips was a dog.

I know we all love Tre, but I think I’d rather have Ramsey over him based of his 4 games and then back injury before the Tennessee Covid’s.   As the highest paid guy, he’s the tone setter for this defense.  When he couldn’t go tonight, probably should have seen, yet another, trash bag D performance coming.

I think there was some hubris on the part of Beane in not bringing back Phillips or Shaq Lawson, as if the defensive line is just a plug and play situation where middling FA signings can be slotted in and there won't be a difference.

I don’t think we should have paid them as that’s not how great teams are built. But we definitely miss both of them.

I guess my problem is that they combined for 40% of our sacks last season, and being that that was the case I would have liked to see a bigger splash than picking up Jefferson, Addison, Butler and drafting Epenesa.  Only Addison is known as a pass rush specialist out of that group and he's 33 now.

I think it just became a numbers game. We paid Schnowman, Tre, Poyer and will have to pay JA. I don’t disagree we miss the production but I just think the resources are better used elsewhere. Espenesa is an early disappointment.

Also would be nice to see Jerry do something that isn’t negative.

Still boggles my mind why we didn’t resign him. Instead, we gave basically the same money to Mario Addison who hasn’t done squat.  McD and Beane out smarted themselves with this one.

All the free agents signings look like a waste, i always say its best to spend more on play makers then a bunch of scrubs

You can't fix the trenches in season.

The defense is going to be bad this year.

Going to need to out score everyone, play with leads, and no turnovers.  Josh has to be perfect against teams with excellent offenses.

That's:

Chiefs

Seattle

Pittsburgh

49ers (if fully healthy)

Cardinals

Like I said yesterday.  We can get away with a bad defense so long as we stay healthy on offense.

We SHOULD beat and wont need 30 points to beat

Patriots at least once

Dolphins

Jets

Denver

Chargers
