No, but you did say "Screw what's fair. Whatever punishment the receive, regardless of how severe it may appear to some, is deserved." which obviously includes forfeiting.

Then I suppose it also must include castration, beheading, Forty lashes with a wet noodle, having to watch a continues loop of Scott Norwoods wide right....

Yes, wouldn't we all just be speculating at this point?🤣

Indeed.

My point is that when a media figure collects some anonymous wild-ass speculation and puts it out there, people take it seriously like it's something that might really happen.

When it's all so speculative and unlikely

The NFL needs to be clear on their penalty and game rescheduling policies.  When the season is half over, I find it hard to think players on 1-7 and 2-6 teams will comply with strict precautions.  By the end of the regular season, even less incentive.  If you're a playoff bound team and you play an eliminated and/or irresponsible team as one of your last two games..........

Do you really want to play them this week?

There is still talk of playing the game Monday...if so I hope Thursdays game is moved to next Sunday night.

I don't want the Bills anywhere near this mess for the foreseeable future.

Yes, but that's on the people who believe anything on the internet.  I mean it clearly states that he guesses.

Yikes!!

That seems extreme, but I suspect suspensions/fines/draft picks is how this will go.

There's not going to be a forfeit.  To the best of my knowledge, that's never happened before and I strongly doubt it's a bridge the league will cross unless there is absolutely no other option.

I’ve gone back and forth, and as much as I want to watch the Bills play this Sunday, the health of the players is simply more important.

There’s no way the Bills players should have to fly to Tennessee and play a team that is STILL seeing new players test positive every day.

Do I want a cancelled game or a win by forfeit? No. But both sound better than 10 Bills players getting COVID.

I’m onto the Chiefs.

I think this is about where i land as well.
Shame on the Titans.
if proven negligent, there also should be Team repurcussions.
Crazy everything year eh

Players on 1-7 and 2-6 teams are still playing for their careers and I doubt they want to take a 5 or 6 figure fine and risk possible long term damage a Covid infection might come with. It's more so the organization who needs to be steeply punished in a way that makes it so punitive that it isn't worth any risk to be careless. A massive fine and docking a 1st round pick seems kind of lite in my opinion. I don't know if forfeiting the games is a good idea but something more than money and draft picks needs to be involved.

The exact same things as with what we are seeing with Tennessee.

The League office doesn't have a hard-on for the Bills.

I hope your right---the same league & comimish who wouldn't let Mike Vick sign with the Bills when he was coming off suspension. The same league that had new suspensions in the pipeline for Marshan Lynch but swept them under the rug when he went to Seattle  The same league that gave Gronk a slap on the hand for diving on a Bills player on the ground aiming a cast at him ?????   Hmmmm.

I doubt the League will move the Thursday game to Saturday.

First they already sold that TV time and the sponsors would not be happy.  Thursday Night Football is a big money maker for the league.

Secondly, a Saturday game would be completely out of the question because they couldn't televise it.  The Sports Broadcasting Act of 1961 exempts the NFL broadcasting rights from antitrust laws.  That act forbids the NFL to broadcast games on Friday nights and Saturdays from the 2nd Friday in September through the 2nd Saturday in December.

I can't figure out why some supposed football pundits even floated that idea.

The only options would be a forfeit, moving the game to week 18 (which would most likely mean adding two weeks in between week 17 and the start of the wild card round) or having the Chiefs play the Bills on Sunday instead of the Raiders and the Titans face the Raiders on Thursday (which would be logistically next to impossible at this point.

Looking at the options the most likely would seem to either make the Titans play on Sunday as scheduled with no practice ahead and the facility closed until that day or a forfeit, which I would hate to see.

Good at finding but not good at interpreting laywerese.

§1291. Exemption from antitrust laws of agreements covering the telecasting of sports contests and the combining of professional football leagues

The antitrust laws, as defined in section 1 of the Act of October 15, 1914, as amended (38 Stat. 730) [15 U.S.C. 12], or in the Federal Trade Commission Act, as amended (38 Stat. 717) [15 U.S.C. 41 et seq.], shall not apply to any joint agreement by or among persons engaging in or conducting the organized professional team sports of football, baseball, basketball, or hockey, by which any league of clubs participating in professional football, baseball, basketball, or hockey contests sells or otherwise transfers all or any part of the rights of such league's member clubs in the sponsored telecasting of the games of football, baseball, basketball, or hockey, as the case may be, engaged in or conducted by such clubs. In addition, such laws shall not apply to a joint agreement by which the member clubs of two or more professional football leagues, which are exempt from income tax under section 501(c)(6) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 [26 U.S.C. 501(c)(6)], combine their operations in expanded single league so exempt from income tax, if such agreement increases rather than decreases the number of professional football clubs so operating, and the provisions of which are directly relevant thereto

§1293. Intercollegiate and interscholastic football contest limitations

The first sentence of section 1291 of this title shall not apply to any joint agreement described in such section which permits the telecasting of all or a substantial part of any professional football game on any Friday after six o'clock postmeridian or on any Saturday during the period beginning on the second Friday in September and ending on the second Saturday in December in any year from any telecasting station located within seventy-five miles of the game site of any intercollegiate or interscholastic football contest scheduled to be played on such a date if—

(1) such intercollegiate football contest is between institutions of higher learning both of which confer degrees upon students following completion of sufficient credit hours to equal a four-year course, or

(2) in the case of an interscholastic football contest, such contest is between secondary schools, both of which are accredited or certified under the laws of the State or States in which they are situated and offer courses continuing through the twelfth grade of the standard school curriculum, or the equivalent, and

(3) such intercollegiate or interscholastic football contest and such game site were announced through publication in a newspaper of general circulation prior to August 1 of such year as being regularly scheduled for such day and place.

It was not a cast - it was a METAL brace.  Plaster casts break easily as I learned when I broke my cast (from football) hitting someone in head who pinned my good arm in locker.
