When the season is half over, I find it hard to think players on 1-7 and 2-6 teams will comply with strict precautions. By the end of the regular season, even less incentive. If you're a playoff bound team and you play an eliminated and/or irresponsible team as one of your last two games.......... Players on 1-7 and 2-6 teams are still playing for their careers and I doubt they want to take a 5 or 6 figure fine and risk possible long term damage a Covid infection might come with. It's more so the organization who needs to be steeply punished in a way that makes it so punitive that it isn't worth any risk to be careless. A massive fine and docking a 1st round pick seems kind of lite in my opinion. I don't know if forfeiting the games is a good idea but something more than money and draft picks needs to be involved. Hmmmm. It was not a cast - it was a METAL brace. Plaster casts break easily as I learned when I broke my cast (from football) hitting someone in head who pinned my good arm in locker.
