Will it? Who did the Rams play to deserve to be considered anything? I don't understand how the Bills beat bad teams and they "Just beat bad teams" Rams beat bad teams and it's like "Can the Bills hang?"

To be fair, I think the Cowboys and the Eagles are probably significantly better overall than the Jets and Dolphins, although you could argue that the Eagles and Dolphins are roughly equivalent. Cowboys definitely > Jets, though.

I think the dolphins are better than the eagles for sure. Jets are worst for sure but I have the jets grouped with them and the other two higher. Dolphins had a rough start with NE and Us. Do you think the cowboys win either of those games?

to the OP the 10-6 2017 chiefs and falcons could be considered.

The 2018 jags were atrocious.

Id say his most impressive victory was at KC in 2017.

The decline if I recall hit full peak following the loss to us.  They still brought back one of the best defenses of the last 10 years that season.

That KC team was their best win that season but I didn't think they were that good.  Sammy went off that day if I recall.

Depends on what their record is at the end of the season....

Beating teams early in the season really means nothing.

Because say we beat a 2-0 Rams team and then they go 6-10 the remainder of the season.

Then the win means less.

if we win and they finish 10-6 then it means more.

because even if they are good and they lose a few key players and then go 6-10, no one will remember that they lost key players, people remember the win-loss column at the end of the season.

Remind you of the year trent edwards went 4-1 and then we sucked.  Does anyone from that year remember beating a 4-1 Bills team? Nah cause they looked at the win in hind sight, as nothing.

Your memory is off. The 2018 Jags were 3-7 when the also 3-7 Bills faced them.

Sammy wasn’t on the Bills in 2017 when they beat KC.

I think McD’s signature win was in Atlanta in 2017. That’s what injected real belief into this franchise.

Yeah, the Rams deserve credit for the Cowboys win. I’m not a fan of the Cowboys anymore than the rest of this board, but you can’t deny they have a ton of talent. Dallas might not even make the playoffs, who knows at this point, but they also have enough talent to compete with anyone every week. In the NFL a win is a win. You can only defeat the teams on your schedule. I apply that rule of thumb to both the Bills and our opponents. This Sunday will feature two good teams going head to head.

That 2017 chiefs game came to mind. Beating his mentor the first time he faced him as a head coach. It was Alex smith but they had been playing well if I remember correctly. I just remember that being the first time I was impressed with mcD.

My memory may be shot after years of quarantine but I do remember this one play from 2017 that told me McD was our man.

October 29, 2017....how do I remember this, I looked it up and double checked.

We're 4-2 playing the Raiders.  We traded Dareus the week before.  Raiders are 3-4 playing to save their season.  We stomp them and the playoffs looked like a very real possibility.

But it was a catch and run by Brandon Tate (how do I remember the player....I looked it up double checked) made a catch and run on a 2nd on long, got the first down and was pushed out of bounds on the Bills sideline---and the team mobbed him in a way you just dont see teams do very often in a late October game if ever.  The play showed me these guys will run thru a wall for their coach and each other.

I even found the clip....ffw to the 3:20 mark:

That reaction was just everything.  Pure authentic joy.  Knew we had the right man in that moment.  I forgot what WR it was or how many yards he needed.....but that sideline reaction is etched in my mind forever.
