No more limit to decibel levels....

Bit more of a home field advantage

Decibel level of music and audio prompts (“It’s 3rd down!”, foghorns, train whistles, etc.) previously were capped at 75 decibels. Now, no limit. As always, it must be shut off when play clock hits :20, but teams hope to regain a bit of home-field advantage.

I just checked, and there is still a limit, they just raised it from 75 to 90.  The exception of no limit is for the announcer and whatnot.

It should be raised to whatever the home field average DB level is.  They have measured it in every stadium, they know the numbers, and it should only be shut off after a play ends and ramp up after they break huddle.  That is the fairest thing to do to replicate true home field advantage.

Let’s see if the jackwagons that control the stadium sound actually know how to take advantage of it. In game 1 I recall them playing sound while the Bills were on offense. At this point, who doesn’t know that you shouldn’t do that? They don’t strike me as the brightest bunch.

If there’s no limit, crank it.

Hooray for Hollywood. This is straight out of central casting. Let’s authenticate the game by putting cardboard cutouts in the seats and piping in crowd noise. It has to be more like wha the players are used to in practice, only quieter, but still there must be a surreal quality about the whole charade.

So far the best thing to happen in an NFL stadium related to piped-in crowd noise was last week when whoever was calling the shots in Philly actually booed the Eagles coming off the field.  That was fantastic.

I like it.  Anything to get just some of that home-field advantage back.  Even during some of the worst seasons during our drought, Buffalo has always been voted as one of the toughest places to play for the visiting team.  (Kansas City, Green Bay, Oakland, Philly)

That's actually a real sore spot for me this year, probably the toughest thing for me to deal with.   Not just the fact that we can't have fans in the stands, but the fact that this is BY FAR the most complete, competitive, and talented roster we've had SINCE our glory years!!

So yeah, this is a good thing to me....
