I'd hire 3 butlers cause I'm a baller like that... Lurch, Alfred and Geoffrey

Maybe this preference explains my confusion about the behavior (or lack thereof) of Hagman's character in the show.

Chevy...I don't know how long you want to make your list. Here are a few you may or may not want to add:

'Benson' ('Soap' & 'Benson')

'Bub' (pre-'Uncle Charlie' - 'My Three Sons')

'Geoffrey' ('The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air')

'Niles' ('The Nanny')

'Mr. Lynn Belvedere' ('Mr. Belvedere')

I'm going off the board and voting for 'Jeannie' ('I Dream of Jeannie'). She was a genie, served Tony Nelson, and even called him 'Master' in early seasons of the show. Plus, Barbara Eden. ❤️

Retrospace: The Boob Tube #51: I Dream of Jeannie (S5 E13)

Somebody took Aunt Bea over Jennie. I try not to judge.

This is a hard one for me. I'm going to wait to vote and see if any of you can sway me with your arguments.

If you think of anyone I've omitted, let me know and I'll add him/her.

great thread!

what about Max the butler on the TV Show “Hart to Hart”? Not sure he will be getting a ton of votes, but he was solid.

edit: oh, and how about Tony Miceli on “who’s the boss?” He May actually get my vote!!

How about Kato (Bruce Lee), man servant, driver, and bodyguard to Britt Reed (Green Hornet).

Still laugh at those Pink Panther movies with Peter Sellers and his 'little yellow friend' trashing their apartment in those epic fights.

Good one! She was beautiful & a great character in the show.

Never understood Larry Hagman's character though -- she was always offering to do whatever he commanded, but he never mentioned what was on the mind of every guy watching the show.

A lot of good choices here for the McMansion—but I settled on Niles from The Nanny, because I feel like at the same time that he’s fetching my slippers and evening tea, he’ll always be able to say something just snarky and pithy enough to keep me grounded and from getting too snobbish! :flirt:
