Agreed. You can go all the way up the list to Jameis Winston, if you want. It's not really a useful metric.

There's more like a useful threshold that if you get over, you are probably good. It's around 200-220 yards. Less than that is not ideal, more than that doesn't mean a whole lot.

To me it comes down to points and turnovers. All other metrics pale in comparison for QB's.

I agree. He had a comparable season to Gilmore, but Gilmore is going to be way higher. Tre should be top 30, I think.

I think he should be at least 27th iirc that’s how many players make AP 1st team AllPro

I also thought he’d be top 30. I guess maybe he just hasn’t had enough of those elite type seasons like last year. If he has something similar again in 2020 he’ll be a shoe in for top 30 or even 20 next year I would think.

For QB, its Yards per attempt and TD/INT ratio. Those are the two stats that matter most.

White is an amazing player and compares equally yo Gilmore.  I just think both are a notch below the truly elite guys in their prime like Sherman and Revis.

I think it's a different game than even when Revis was playing. Sherman is the same category of elite CB as Gilmore and White, in my opinion. He has just been doing it longer and Gilmore and especially White are just now breaking out.

This list has gotten so, so bad tonight.

Can't believe Clowney is even on the list, much less that high. His 2019 season was not top 100 material.

Glad Diggs and White are on there, but should’ve been higher for both.  Allen surprised me being on there at all.  Not a problem with it, but surprised he made it.  I doubt anyone else makes it.  I thought Edmunds might, but if he’s not there by now, probably not happening.

As many have said, it’s a popularity contest, that’s it.

I think he is too high.... but I would still have him in the latter quarter of my top 100. He didn't play as well in 2019 as 2017 and 2018 but he still made game changing plays in multiple games.

The thing with the top 100 though is it is never just about the previous season. When you ask players they are always going to factor their whole history in. I suspect Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers will be higher than their actual 2019 performances for example. I still think it is way too low for Trey. I think he is a top 30 player in the league and his consistency across three years has been extraordinary.

Logan Ryan literally gave up the most yards in the NFL of any corner and is:

1. on the list

2. higher than guys like Marlon Humphrey lol

Also Jimmy G being ahead of Dak, Tre, a bunch of others.

Larry Fitzgerald being ahead of guys like Keenan Allen.

Crikey. Those are all awful judgments. Larry Fitz shouldn't still be on the list. And I say that as a huge fan of his. He is no longer one of the best 100 players in the league but as I said about Brady and Rodgers their past buys them certain allowances from their fellow players.

Marlon Humphrey shouldn't be far behind Tre. I had them right together at draft time just behind Lattimore in that great corner class. They are still pretty close together and a little ahead of Lattimore 3 years into their NFL careers. All 3 are miles better than Logan Ryan. And Jimmy G ahead of Dak? Lol.

I truly have no idea how many yards per game any of the QBs throw for and don’t really care tbh

I hear ya, makes me think of this example, Dak putting up big yards and not making the playoffs this past year.  Dak is a good QB as we all know,  all those yards in the end though didn’t get the job done, Its about team success first and foremost imo, personal stats don’t mean as much if your team doesn’t make the post season, which after all is the measuring stick, jmo. Here’s to Josh’s continued growth. ?

Go Bills!!!
