Bama reportedly considering replacing USC with ND to open season

ESPN earlier said ACC was considering ND into  a full schedule and eligible for conference title(this year only). Irish already play (I think 5 or 6) ACC teams so they can be a league member in other sports so it might fit. Will be interesting to watch what happens because then ND would have to dump someone to make it work.

Would ND they get a share of the ACC bowl payouts as well this year? Interesting

So which division would Notre Dame be placed in?

The Atlantic or the Coastal?

Good question and I hadn't anything more about it but apparently the idea isn't dead....    https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/why-the-notre-dame-acc-marriage-of-convenience-may-evolve-into-a-meaningful-relationship-beyond-2020/

Breaking: ACC football will begin Sept. 7-12 and the scheduling model will include 11 games (10 conference and one non-conference), the conference announced. Notre Dame will also play a 10-game conference schedule and be eligible to compete in the 2020 ACC football Championship.

Clemson playing against a good football team? Perish the thought.

I believe they already were on the ACC schedule this year against ND

Yep Clemson was originally Scheduled to go to South Bend in September so I guess they just keep that date. Clemson  also picked up a game vs Va Tech that wasn’t originally scheduled

The advantage Clemson has with it's yearly cupcake schedule is HUGE!

Based upon previous years of opinions voiced by esteemed colleagues on this site, shouldn't we just declare the 2020 college football season over, and award Alabama the national championship?  ?

Why do that? We can stick around and wait for Michigan to run the table.
