Just remember when they come for our "Bills", the idea was started by Liberal Protestor and SJW Tom Bauerle

How 'bout instead when they don't come for our Bills we forget completely that anyone said anything.

It's true there's too much political correctness. But these things don't happen unless there are a lot of people behind the idea. There simply aren't here.

As other posters have noted if they press this nonsense & the Bills drop their name we don't need another name---we're Buffalo. What are they going to do when fans keep wearing their Bills gear & keep saying  " Go Bills"  The political correct police are screwing with the wrong team here----they can't win this battle.

See what happens? Some meathead lobs something totally made up but remotely plausible, then it takes on a life of it's own. And that's how you stir the pot.

For those with an interest in history and its preservation, if not don't bother:

Buffalo Bill's 1878 billboard

Just read his Wikipedia biography.  Very interesting life.   This seems to be on point.

Philosophy[edit]

As a frontier scout, Cody respected Native Americans and supported their civil rights. He employed many Native Americans, as he thought his show offered them good pay with a chance to improve their lives. He described them as "the former foe, present friend, the American" and once said that "every Indian outbreak that I have ever known has resulted from broken promises and broken treaties by the government."[24]

Cody supported the rights of women.[24] He said, "What we want to do is give women even more liberty than they have. Let them do any kind of work they see fit, and if they do it as well as men, give them the same pay."[73]

In his shows, the Indians were usually depicted attacking stagecoaches and wagon trains and were driven off by cowboys and soldiers. Many family members traveled with the men, and Cody encouraged the wives and children of his Native American performers to set up camp—as they would in their homelands—as part of the show. He wanted the paying public to see the human side of the "fierce warriors" and see that they had families like any others and had their own distinct cultures.[24]

Cody was known as a conservationist who spoke out against hide-hunting and advocated the establishment of a hunting season.

So Bauerle had no facts, just his opinion...

I'm pretty sure Buffalo Bill made many of the natives rich for the time

They were traveling all across Europe making money

And when Khan takes the Jags to London the similarities will continue.

First I’m not aware the Bill Cody was ever in Buffalo. It is such an odd name for a team but as it stands I don’t think anyone pauses for a second and says where did that name come from or what does it mean.  It almost as if it is just a sound made after Buffalo with no actual meaning.  “The Bills” .  Think about how silly that sounds when you stop and think about it for a second.

But until they change the Utah Jazz the Bills will never be first on the list for dumb names.

The name "Buffalo Bills" is actually ironic since he got his nickname for killing the most buffalo in a contest against Bill Comstock of the usage of the nickname "Buffalo Bill".

Cody killed 68 and Comstock killed 48 in an 8 hour contest.

These two singlehandedly decimated the Buffalo population into near extinction in one work shift...

The Redskins name change didn't come out of nowhere. It's been talked about for years. This whole slippery slope thing is stupid.

Until it's not.....

Remember when we only were going to tear down statues of Confederates?
