There is a lot of pressure for the Washington Football Team to finalize their name in the next few weeks.

If they’re stuck with the current super-generic “Football Team” when the season starts, they have to play as an MLS team instead.

The players numbers in gold.  It’s retro from the early days of the league.

It's a smart move (which I'm surprised to say considering the franchise) in the sense that a) it gives them more time to throw names around and b) they can see if the fans adopt a certain name during the year. The way things spread on social media, it's quite possible they could have a new unofficial name by season's end (that's if there is a season) and they could always adopt that for good (provided it's not something stupid like The Trumps...)
