The Vote by mail debate

Recommended Posts

Does anyone remember or even know about the change in Orange County, CA in the 2018 elections where the county & surrounding areas went from red to blue in a miraculous manner? Seems like ballot harvesting, a scheme invented by democrats was a key to making that happen.

How exactly can Orange County be both "Orange County" and  "the county & surrounding areas" at the same time???

More to the point than your geographically-impaired thinking, there's nothing "miraculous" about Orange County's voting Democratic in 2018.  It's called changing demographics.  The Republicans went from having a 10% advantage over Democrats among registered voters in 2013 to only a 1% advantage among registered voters in 2019.  At the same time, the number of non-aligned voters increased to more than 27% of registered voters.  That makes the electorate in the county much less predictable.   In 2016, Hillary Clinton became the first Democrat presidential candidate since 1936 to win the county, so there's nothing surprising about the Democrats taking the three Congressional seats in 2018.

Nice statistics. Quote 2019 stats for use in 2018 and then only use partial stats for the rest. Do you actually think that ballot harvesting is a good thing and the SoCal dems have no nefarious motives for promoting it?

Republicans don’t want vote by mail bc it chips away at their ability to do exactly this: target and disenfranchise Black voters and people of color.

Seems racist to say that blacks aren’t capable of voting the way everyone else does.

Vote by mail has massive fraud potential. We need integrity in our elections.

No, no, you've got it all wrong. The racism of diminished expectations is pure and just. Them poor sods need their liberal white masters to protect them from themselves!

The point is that Republicans have been losing ground among voters in Orange County over several years and election cycles because of changes in the population, so there's nothing "surprising" about the Congressional election results.   Historically, mid-term elections frequently result in Congressional losses for the party of the sitting president.

I'm well aware of all of this and wonder why you didn't post this instead of partial stats? Regardless, ballot harvesting coincides nicely with the changing demographics and open border push.

"Voting by mail should be made the law because it is keeping Democratic voters from voting............................However, we should not encourage voting by mail when it helps a Republican candidate":

Here in NY I had to request a mail in ballot and sign it , with warning of fine and jail for fraud. The board of elections has my signature on file. Erie County said mail in ballots will not be counted till 8 days after election , hope they don't wait that long in the Nov election

Mail in in NYS is relaxed standards for absentee eligibility.  That’s it.   There’s nothing wrong with it.  Unless you’re a trumper moron who doesn’t know what he’s talking about and likes to repeat delusional trump hoaxes.

Mail in voting is LEGAL

Fat Man can not move the election. He does not have the power.

Don once again is spreading FAKE news and his collective believes him.

Oh and if the vote isn't settled by late January the House speaker takes power.    Nancy Pelosi

Don is CLUELESS again, but really what's new
