Sounds like a guy who won't walk out at halftime.

I don't see him "returning to form" though just because he's 32, but I do expect him to become a very reliable #2 opposite the goalie.

..LMAO....za Dominator take 2.............

if Cam is willing to be back up, Baltimore May want to consider over RG3.

I don’t agree with All 32 teams as you don’t want to change your whole offense if you’re back up comes in.

He has the athletic skills to do well in any system.  As Marv always said, the talent on your teams dictates the plays that you call.  If Cam comes in you keep the system but you might utilize different plays

Rather than being "all world," how about he be a reliable 1 of 11.  I'd take that.

Defensive backs with confidence tend to be a little more extrovert than that ?

The guy has to many dings in the hood, needs a complete rebuild job

The Bills backups over the years have been:

Brian Brohm, Levi Wallace, Jeff Tuel, Tyler Thigpen, Nate Peterman, Thad Lewis, Cardale Jones, Kyle Orton, Derek Anderson.

Our current backup depending on point of view has thrown 0 NFL passes, or a is a guy who has thrown a combined 10 TDs and 21 Ints.

To thumb our noses up at Cam Newton is pretty amazing.

If Cam needs a complete rebuild, then our backups have been T-Boned on railroad tracks.

The fact that he’s confident after his stint in Washington is actually a really good sign. CBs have to have that confidence. He really did land in the best possible spot - not expected to be the #1 CB and is very comfortable with the scheme. If he’s going to succeed this year, he picked the right spot.

Levi Brown.

As for Newton, he doesn't want to be a backup/for even as little as what Dalton got.

If the question of who you want to be your back up is based squarely on skill and ability, Cam is the obvious choice. But there is more to it than that. Other issues include their presence in the QB room, relationship to the team on the whole, and ability to not become a side show.  Cam is better, but its unclear he is so much better his talent would outweigh the sideshow he would become and impact he would have on the QB room.

Cam isn't here because he is a legitimate threat to Josh.

Same reason the Bills had no interest in Winston.

Exactly Doc.  If Cam wanted to sign as a backup he would of already.

Why would he tie himself down as a backup for 1 team for peanuts (comparably speaking, he has made 121+ million so far) when he can

sit back, get healthy, and wait to see what happens when a starter goes down.

Doesnt matter what the coaches think. What do the players think? How do you think hell handle it if he thinks otherwise? How will that affect the locker room? The media? The fanbase? That is a trainwreck waiting to happen.

If you think he's a legit threat to Josh, there are many places they could have gone...but didn't/haven't.

I think if Josh struggled in the first half of the year and the rest of the team looked great, there would be a few little birdies talking about a QB switch mid season.

..good Lord CB, NOT Here......Wrecks already sullied OBD with his "Barnum & Bailey Clown Show".....we don't need Scam's "fedora topped pajama pressers" taking the credit for a "W" and throwing the team under the bus for a "L"....WWE works........

So you'd sign Cam just in case that happens?  Why wouldn't, say, the Cheaters, or the Jets, or the Browns, or the Raiders do that as well?

I’d bet a lot of money if Allen flops this year they’ll be in contact with Cam about interest in playing again in 2021(assuming he is still available).

Why?  Does Cam strike you as a "process" guy?
