Don’t cry too hard that was a work trip so I didn’t have to pay for it ?. It’s pretty brutal though. It’s cheaper to sit down and play while getting a comp drink than it is to go to the bar and order. Whatever you lose at the table is is a better investment ??

Yeah I was there for the super bowl in Feb and the prices for food and drink are sky high now, at least on the strip.  I usually hang out in the sports book, & probably bet about $2 grand worth of basketball games on that Saturday and my friends and I got enough drink tickets to drink for free all day but they made you work for it & that was at Harrah's SB, where they probably have the most lenient drink policy of any sports book on the strip.  I did stop up that Sat to their food court, brought back 3 slices of pizza & an order of nachos, total price tag $49.  Good thing for me I am usually on a liquid diet when I head to Vegas.  I still love it though but miss the days where they would comp everything for a light weight bettor like myself.  It will be interesting to see if they go thru a price reform trying to get the strip back to where it was pre Covid days.

I have been working on the missus for over a year on this game.  I have family in the area so room and board is covered.  They live a little north and are regulars at a casino near them so I have that covered.  Still working bc I am essential so I have the game ticket and airfare covered.  She doesn't like the idea of me getting on a plane due to her compromised immunity and I can't blame her or argue the point.  I don't even feel good about getting on a plane right now myself.

Stupid covid.  I was so proud of myself for being proactive for once and all for nothing!

Was planning on going to this, but with COVID and this prices, Arizona seems like the West Coast game to go to.

Did not even bother to check prices and availability for San Fran....that city...

I suspect the move of the Raiders to Las Vegas is less about developing a local fan base and more about depending on tourists coming in and spending lots of money.

I’ll definitely attend the tailgate and most likely attend the game.

There were already a lot of Raider fans here.  I’d say it’s been the second largest population of fans in the city (Niners being #1) since I’ve been here (1998).

the hockey team has a huge local following, but it’s still the #1 destination for oppositions fan bases and the ticket prices are representative of that.

For those that make the trip and don’t attend the game, join the crew at moondoggies!  https://yelp.to/qTKq/dVyjpggap6
