Cats don’t eat their own poop either.  I’ve never owned a cat, but they seem kind of like goldfish from a master-pet interaction perspective.

We have two cats and I love them. I like dogs too.

Stripes?  Forget it, he's rolling.  (Ghostbusters)

Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?  Hell No!  Germans, Pearl Harbor?  Forget, he’s rolling.  (I used to think it was He’s on a Roll, but wasn’t accurate)

A cat would murder you in your sleep if it had opposable thumbs. Devil's animal.

Last time I checked household cats don't maul and/or kill kids... you're wrong.

Why not both?

We have inherited a cat and have a Golden Retriever. This is a recurring theme in our home.

However, our cat is too old for this maneuver so he just tries to scratch the dog's eyes out. :(

Male, but I like both and owned both... Cats are just smarter, dogs more loyal.

Actually dogs are smarter and more loyal. According to scientists, dogs have twice as many neurons as cats and are smarter.

Clearly, dogs can be trained for all sort of service jobs, including critical ones (seeing eye, healthcare, security, etc).

Yeh but my cats dominated my dogs... good entertainment for us... but the dogs got ambushed a lot.  My last dog could track anything including the cat when it hid on us right before we had to leave to go somewhere.  Cat would be pissed.
