So lets see what out of this experience says he is Not a good Lawyer

Student Intern - University of Miami Athletic Business Department

Club Services Intern - NFL (all NFL Teams) - Reviewed sponsorship and licensing agreements for all 31 NFL Member Clubs and drafted the NFL Member Club Marketing Commitments for the 1999 NFL season.

Management Council Law Clerk - NFL

Intellectual Property Associate - Howery

Attorney Akerman Senterfitt

Vice President & General Counsel - XOS Digital

Vice President Executive Counsel - Bills

You have not pointed at ONE SINGLE thing other than being a Brother to Russ....  Really does already sound personal.

Also it is pretty freaking Low Class to go after someone because of who they are related to.  How would you like losing your job because your Brother was a Sleezeball.

It's interesting how much information you're leaving out.

Ask yourself this question. If you were objectively hiring one of the most coveted positions in a front office would you pick this guy?

1995-1998: A couple of intern positions with the NFL

1998-2001: Syracuse Law

2001-2006: Intellectual Property associate at mid-sized law firm

2006--2007: Attorney at mid-sized law firm in Florida

2007-2013: General counsel for tiny firm that looks at collegiate licensing

2013: BOOM: VICE PRESIDENT AND GENERAL COUNSEL OF BUFFALO BILLS - thanks Russ!

I also don't think it's "low class" to go after someone based on their credentials.

That's what we do on this message board all day, every day, when it comes to the players and the owners and often the front office staff of our team.

It absolutely is low class going after someone because of their Last Name.  There is NOTHING in that that says he isn't qualified or performing as the Pegulas want him to perform.  your only dig is his brother.  yeah that is PRETTY FREAKING LOW CLASS.

I get the idea of wanting your own people in the organization but you can't just replace everyone even if they were related to someone who left on less than stellar terms. It also isn't like this guy is involved in football operations directly. He is a staff lawyer most likely reviewing contracts and legal documents. I don't think he is going to cause much of a stir.

I'm not going to link this, because I don't want to make this personal ... but look at his credentials and let me know if you think he is objectively the best of the best and we couldn't find anyone better.

You are very naive.  Nepotism in/among NFL ownership/FO staff/coaching staffs is almost the norm rather than the exception.  The Packers are probably the only NFL franchise that doesn't have at least 1 of the owner's relatives on their payroll -- primarily because they're owned by stockholders.  It's very common for HC's to hire family members.  In fact, after Beane was hired, somebody posted a news article about how unusual it was that both McDermott and Beane didn't have "roots" -- ie, relatives -- in the NFL.

Even among players, where one would think talent alone would count most, we're seeing more and more second and even third generation NFLers not to mention siblings and cousins, being drafted and finding success.  This was especially notable in the recent draft.

Do you think Kim Pegula's credentials qualify her to run the team?

I'm deleting this thread. Very surprised that folks don't see the inherent nepotism here, but oh well.

How much more attention do you need?  Just delete it already!  Let me guess, you were also offered scholarships in high school to go play football in college, but you hurt your shoulder and had to turn them down.  Bet when you tell people that story it gets you lots of attention too

Don't you just hate it when those pesky facts get in the way of your narrative?

This is the post-draft message board content I'm here for. Yes sir.

TBD has been on fire this week. Zay is putting out STATS in Oakland, Brady left the division because he was afraid of the Bills, and now this gem.

I got bombarded yesterday because I have been so busy on the frontlines with this COVID crap that I did not search deep enough. I just ended up deleting it. It wasn’t worth my breath engaging with tough guys behind the keyboard.

Here is the stupidity of this thread and the "nepotism" nonsense being spewed here.

There is NO nepotism.  Beane and company have a FIRM grip on who deserves to be here from their job performance and who doesn't.  If a "Brandon" family member still works for the Bills, its because they choose to keep him based on how he is doing in his respective job.

Case closed.

Thread dead.

Peace.

Let's not forget that we're STILL trading for AJ Green.

Would not nepotism be where an incompetent person is hired or retained in a position due to ties to a person in an organizational hierarchy?  If anything, retention of 'this' Brandon would seem to indicate that management has deemed his performance as acceptable.
