I think it was Weaver, Zuniga or Hall.. The worst part is they all went to the Jets or Dolphins..

Weaver or Hall are my bets. Zuniga went round three and I believe been said on day three(rounds 4-7), they were trying to make the trade up.

i also think the 3-4 spots could easily be 5-6 spots. Beane isn’t going to get to specific. Unwritten rule is you don’t talk about the ones who got away this soon.

First, Yolo thanks as I’m old school, ie. no twitter, Facebook, insta whatever so appreciate the info. as always.  I listened to part of the post radio show Beane taking calls from reporters.  I only get so much out of those things though as you basically get the standard GM speak.

Beane has a trade worked out with an nfc team 3 or 4 spots ahead but the player was taken before that pick

Bryan Edwards fits that scenario in round 3. Cowboys four spots ahead of us. Edwards goes to the raiders the pick before

I think we have a winner here.

Williams is going to compete for a roster depth position.

Beane said he will play either RG or RT. Could be depth or could start.

We should be able to work it out..... wasn't round 4 because he said Davis was their guy. Wasn't round 7 surely.... so that leaves 3 picks - one 5th and two 6ths and it was a guy who went 3 or 4 picks ahead to an NFC team.

Please note Beane's baseball reference ....

"I'm a curveball pitcher, but today, I threw fastballs."#Bills GM Brandon Beane on not making any trades.

Baseball IS relevant, right??

Would've been more impressed if he said "I normally bowl leg spin but today, I bowled a googly".

You wish you bowled a Googly.  You'd never go back.

What about Bryce Hall in the 5th? Might of had a deal with Tampa Bay but then Jets took Hall.
Tampa was our trade partner when we got Josh right?

That's possible. Could have also been Tyler Johnson if the trade was with the bears.

If it was round 2, it could have been a trade up to 43 with the bears to get Claypool.

Forgot about Davis Webb. I expect Barkley to be backup...and Isiah Hodgins is a surprise to make the team if he gets a chance to show his talent in training camp presuming it is not cancelled.

My guess is a trade was agreed on with the Giants and they were targeting big nickel Khaleke Hudson. That’s my best guess.

Ok questions! Who did they try to trade for? And who was higher on their board than Hodgins when they took him and why did they not take him?

My own speculation at the time was they project Hodgins ceiling as WR1. He needs weight room time and coaching, but those are things that he can develop. Already a WR1 for hands and disturbingly quick for a big guy - those are traits of the elite receivers that you can't teach.
