I think those top 4 are locked in unless Davis blows.  I like McKittrick better than Roberts as a PR, KR, and jet sweep specialist.  But it's clear that Roberts, McKittrick, and the Duke are fighting for the 5th and 6th spots.  RayRay and Foster are hanging on by their fingernails.

You might see 7 this year with increased roster limit.

It is when you watch how he plays. He is a Physical WR that knows how to shield with body and high points very well. That is physically imposing.

This.

I see a guy who's adept at catching in tight coverage (probably from lack of separation?) and catching with his hands. I see him as a good endzone/sideline type WR.

If you are good enough then you play.  If Duke wasn’t playing - or even dressing for games - then maybe, just maybe, he is not that good.

Many rookie WR’s see limited action.

This kid could be our #4, with upside, and with red zone possibilities, and maybe even a gunner in punts.

Duke didnt play special teams  Are we saying he is not a better wr than andre roberts and Mck?  Thats all I was saying

It's simple. Most corners are 5'11" and under. A select few are 6'0" ....  Generally WR's 6'2" are considered "big" or "tall" due to this, as they have an advantage against atleast 90% of the league's corners on jump balls.

Based upon the limited ESPN video, his route tree seems to consist of “Go Long!”

But we can use someone who can high point those balls now, while he’s learning to refine his game.

There was a guy last year like that. I think his name was D. K. Metcalf.

I’d say big WR is 6’2” 215 lbs, if you’re thinking 6’4”+ 220+ lbs , the term big I don’t think fits.

Id say 6’4”+ 220+ would be considered “Huge”, Megatron was Huge. Julio Jones is Big.

It's funny to me to think in terms of basketball. You put Julio Jones in the NBA and he's a small point guard, completely different perception.

I was just joking because TO tweeted at McBeane and the Bills a few weeks ago, saying he’d be a nice addition in the resldzone. Ie good hands, good size, and high point the balls.  Also reports are/were he is having trouble driving off of his left foot so he is slow in and out of some of his breaks...sorta similar to your write up.

Mostly tongue and cheek.

ahhh didn’t see the TO tweet or probably would have got it

Some Bills fans have such an absurd size fetish when it comes to WRs.

”Davis is 6 foot 2?! Useless midget! Get him outta here!”

Forget route running, hands, and production. Could he be a power forward in the NBA?!

Either big in height 6'4 plus

Or big in weight

Too me davis is a big wr because he is nearly 220 at 6'2, if he was 6'2 180 I wouldn't call him big

agree he is a big WR.

I know all those people want those 6’4 210 4.3 guys. Otherwise known a unicorns

For those who are apoplectic over Davis picked in the fourth round, I remember my negative over reaction to another fourth round WR pick.  I was like...Andre who?  What the h---  is a Kutztown State.  You have to be sh---ing me.  What kind of b---sh-- is this.  Well I guess he showed me how wrong my initial perception was.  My advice now is to chill out and see how it plays out.  I trust Beane to do the right thing.

Elite WR like Julio, AJ, Moss, and Megatron that have size and speed are truly rare. Separation is the most critical skill for a WR followed by catching the dam ball. Then size and j un moving ability comes next. Windows are tight in NFL and being able to out jump or outmuscled the defender is a critical skill.

Agree 100%...I want guys that are good at football not good at being tall (and Davis is a good size). I like the Davis pick. This is my favorite of the 3 picks so far.
