Brady says he knew before last season started it was probably his last as a Patriot...

Recommended Posts

When he revised his contract in training camp to ensure he would be a UFA the writing was on the wall. I think he also saw the 2nd dynasty team starting to break up a bit. Gronk has gone, Edleman is slowed. The offensive line was nicked up and has suddenly become very expensive. Hightower isn't quite the dominant force he was - Flowers and Brown had already walked in FA.

The only thing that would have changed his mind was a really strong season where some young players broke through. Like if N'Keal Harry was AJ Brown I think that might have given him pause for thought.

So to summarize Brady's thoughts:

"I knew the Buffalo Bills were building a juggernaut and needed to get the hell out of the East and the AFC. I also realize my skills are diminishing and that I need to go somewhere else ASAP, so that rather than get dismantled by the Bills, I now have built in excuses (new system, timing with receivers, ect) when I look less than average. "

Adam Schefter told us all during the season but no one really believed him.

He must of gotten the inside scoop from Brady's doctor who prescribes him the HGH, that's not really HGH, but called by some off the wall name like xycropromatranicin or another.

Listening to his interview on Stern this morning now, pretty good stuff

Stern is the best interviewer, bar none. I wish Stern did more interviews with some of the NFL's more interesting personalities like Richard Sherman, Jerry Jones, etc.

Well, I suspect he was unhappy with how BB was rebuilding the offense, especially with his 2019 draft.    Outside of a very, very raw WR in round 1, there was virtually no help for Brady.   I'm sure he loved that 5th round punter pick...:

Round 1, Pick 32 : WR N’Keal Harry, Arizona State

Round 2, Pick 45: CB Joejuan Williams, Vanderbilt

Round 3, Pick 77: EDGE Chase Winovich, Michigan

Round 3, Pick 87: RB Damien Harris, Alabama

Round 4, Pick 118: G Hjalte Froholdt

Round 4, Pick 133: QB Jarrett Stidham, Auburn

Round 5, Pick 159: DL Byron Cowart, Maryland

Round 5, Pick 163: P Jake Bailey, Stanford

Round 7, Pick 252: CB Ken Webster, Mississippi

It’s pretty incredible and 1,000% agree @416BillsFan. In terms of interviewers in this world it’s:

Howard Stern

This would be funny if he hadn't run over us in our last ever game against him and finished his tenure with a what, something like 32-2 record against us?

Could it be New England was running on new ways to cheat?

How did he run over us? It was a one score game. He threw one TD pass.

I just love that his last game as a patriot was a loss.

ill say it now, Tampa bought fools gold with Brady.

Not just a loss, but one that happened in Foxborough, against a Ryan Tanehill QBed team, via a pick-6 thrown to former Patriot Logan Ryan.

Bliss.
