Possible reason we didn't go after DeAndre Hopkins harder

I never made the connection until now. You'd think Beane would be all over Hopkins when he heard he was available, but maybe the bad blood between Tre and Hopkins gave him pause:

This can certainly just be the case of two top players being competitive, but the locker room culture is fantastic right now and maybe Beane thought this would have a negative effect.

Who knows, just thought it was interesting to consider.

It's a non issue. Two serious competitors talking isht. Guys like that would love eachother if they were wearing the same colors

Quote

After the game White had some pointed comments about Hopkins.

“He had two pass catches, 30-something yards, and he cried the whole game. I was out there in him the whole game," White said. "You know what he had. Any time the offense starts to hide a guy in the backfield to get him away from me, you already know how that’s going, so that’s all I’ve got to say about that, man. Obviously he is a good receiver, but I feel like I’m better.”

No I completely disagree.  In most cases players and coaches aren’t that petty

This is just schoolyard stuff.  If Hopkins joined the Bills, he and White would find ways to work together.  Probably, going against each other in practice every day would make each of them even better than they are already, which is at the top of the league.

Didn’t Beane cover this in his last presser?
