Bills signing Daryl Williams OT

Assuming the contract is mid-level or lower I like the deal. Williams hasn't been All-Pro or even close since his injury. But hopefully given another year removed from a serious injury he can be productive asset to the O-line. Once again this removes the need to draft a tackle late or resign Waddle. I would rather have him than Waddle who is more recently hurt. I think Ford anchors the RT position but Williams is a nice insurance policy/depth.

This is a great signing, although I kinda wish it was a 2 year deal personally but we can always sign him back if he has a good season.

Beane has once again had quite a remarkable off season.  Now I only hope we have a season so we can see all this awesomeness hit the field.

By the end of this year, we should know what we have in Ford.  Williams probably wanted the prove it deal.

I think this works out well

I think the moves today (Gaines and Williams signings) created depth and opens the doors to drafting best available.  IMO Edge rusher and RB seem to be biggest needs as of now.

Agree.

And the beauty of those needs is that both positions have among the lowest learning curves for rookie contributors...

Guess he's replacing La'Adrian Waddle

Id say replacing Nsekhe. Nsekhe was banged up at times last year. His getting to the end of his career.

$5 against the cap this year, $3M saved if released.

I see Ford and Williams battling out for RT. Nsekhe Manning backup LT.

Ford, Williams and Feliciano all get time at RG. Williams played RG last year due to OL injuries.

With both Ford and Williams being from Oklahoma I see that being a plus!

Dawkins, Spain, Morse, OU, OU.

Williams will be the swing T, gonna be exciting competition on the right side of the OL.

SCHNOW -- SPAIN -- MORSE -- FELICIANO -- WILLIAMS, Ford as a backup OG. Schweet!!!

I am good with this. and so much freaking depth
if Williams can truly beat out Ty and Cody. Then we are a solid Offense on paper !

But...but....but I thought nobody wants to come to Buffalo!  Those days seem to be over LOL.

As with any team you start winning and people want to come- Golden State, Astros, Chicago Blackhawks- but no one wants to go to a loser for similar money.

You forgot to add that he was credited with giving up 12 sacks last year. That was the highest in the league.

Hopefully McBeane can work their Carolina magic and bring back the good in him. Are there any other former Panthers left they can bring in? I'm thinking they pretty much got all of them.

I don't know if CB is not on the menu. Gaines is a more marginal signing (This team isn't passing on a good corner because they have often hurt EJ Gaines on the roster) in my opinion and RT was not an early round need even before Williams (I think tackle was more of a late round depth need.) So I don't think the Williams and Gaines signings really alter the first four rounds of the draft in terms of need.

CB and Edge Rush remain the top needs on defense and Running Back, TE, and WR (For Depth and to get younger behind Brown and Beasley) remain the top needs on offense. I don't see the team's needs getting that much different.

Could be.  He's a former pro bowler though.  If he is healthy he might out perform Ford.  If that happens I don't see a starting spot for Ford.

I think for could compete with Feliciano and possibly beat him out or hold the spot if Feliciano has to cover for Morse. Either way the Bills are set to absorb injuries on the oline and not miss a beat.
