There should be a national dialogue in getting back to work

CNN had a segment on today (again without any hint of irony) discussing the troubled state of the healthcare system and concerns about people's health, because all resources were thrown at Wuhan virus.

Obviously those bubbles are made from hand sanitizer /s

Why else would a Congressperson blow her breath and saliva particles (which carry COVID) into the face of a toddler?

Do as I say, not as I do. Imagine if that was an conservative, or Republican?

We would have stories of 'Death Bubbles' blown into face of innocent toddler.....

ICE tells students on visas they must leave US if schools go online-only

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced Monday that international students in the U.S. whose schools switch to online classes for the fall semester will have to leave the country or risk violating their visa status.

Under the new rule, foreign nationals enrolled in U.S. educational institutions will have to leave the country unless part of their course load this fall is taken in-person.

Makes sense. No reason for them to be in the US if they can take classes online from whatever country they're from.

...will be interesting to see how quickly Pelosi and her gang craft legislation to extend this to Dec. 31...................

Extra $600 a week in unemployment insurance no longer needed: labor secretary

Federally enhanced unemployment benefits to expire July 31

Labor Secretary Eugene Scalia said he does not think that $600-a-week enhanced unemployment benefits are needed "going forward" when asked if he supported trading continued enhanced benefits for the payroll tax cut that President Trump has floated.

"It was a really important thing to do as we were shutting our economy down. Americans across the country were basically being told, and we needed to take measures, but they were basically being told, you can't go to work right now. ... I don't think we need that $600 benefit going forward," Scalia told "Fox News Sunday."

The federally enhanced unemployment benefits will expire on July 31.

Re-opening workplaces such as casinos and indoor shopping malls are equally important.

It is all important, of course. However, there is no denying that school is a form of daycare for parents who would not otherwise be able to go to work if their children were home all day.

but just you wait and see, the very same people and politicians who scream we need to keep the schools closed will be the very same screaming ne need more money for expanded capapity in childcare so people can get back to work...cause ya know, the virus will spread like crazy in school and the teachers and the teachers families will be at risk, but it checks itself at the front door of a childcare center and the care givers there and their families are immune to the virus.
