The cop will walk.  It will get to trial I think but no way he is found guilty of 2nd degree murder.

If you're in minneapolis, buy fire insurance.

Gordon Chang warns China 'configuring its military to kill Americans'

Chang urged Trump to decouple the US economy from China

Chang's comments follow a recent Pentagon report suggesting that China is planning to double its stockpile of nuclear warheads in this decade -- including those designed for ballistic missiles and that can reach the U.S.

"I think China believes it needs to move fast and that means we’re going to see problems not in the 2030s, we’re going to see problems now."

— Gordon Chang

"[President] Xi Jinping has been talking increasingly about this notion that China has a mandate of heaven to rule the world," Chang explained. "They [beleive that they] not only have the right to do it, they have the obligation to do it.

"He’s become very specific about this in public and so have his officials, which means that they are trying to change the international system, not to compete within it," Chang said.

"The Coming Collapse of China" author warned that the Chinese government is working fast to counter a "closing window of opportunity because of the problems in the economy, in the environment, demography.

Took guts for II to publish this obvious article.

Quote

“It appears management at banks feel pressure to avoid criticism or punishment from the Chinese government,” which has proven its willing to dole punishment out. “There is a lack of willingness to speak about China at many banks,” Coffey continued. In asset management, too, firms may have relationships with CIC and SAFE” — the country’s vast sovereign wealth funds — “or with private Chinese citizens whose money is offshore. That adds up to an environment where many people seem unwilling to address a situation that’s quite obvious.”

* Chinese authorities have told major media outlets not to cover Walt Disney Co's release of "Mulan", in an order issued after controversy erupted overseas over the film's links with the Xinjiang region, four people familiar with matter told Reuters.
* No reason was given in the notice, but the sources said they believed it was because of the overseas backlash over the film's links to Xinjiang.
* Starring big-name Chinese-born actors - Jet Li, Gong Li, Donnie Yen and Liu Yifei - and based on a Chinese folk story, Mulan was tailored to appeal to audiences in China, the world's second-largest movie market.

Exclusive: Swedish space company halts new business helping China operate satellites

Sweden’s state-owned space company, which provides ground stations that help fly Chinese spacecraft and transmit data, said on Monday it would no longer renew contracts with China or accept new Chinese business, because of changes in geopolitics.

The Sweden Space Corporation (SSC) has had contracts allowing Beijing access to its antennas in Sweden, Chile and Australia since at least 2011. It told Reuters those contracts would not be renewed.

“The geopolitical situation has changed since these contracts were signed in the early 2000s. We have to assess where we can do business and it’s harder for us to make that assessment regarding the Chinese market now,” Anni Bolenius, head of communications at SSC, told Reuters.
