Yes, I use a squeegee. I chose to go down the traditional route as my selling point as the vogue these days seem to be the "reach and wash" poles. I like to get up to the window and make sure it's finished correctly with grade A scrim. I wash the windows with water and general washing liquid with an applicator before using the squeegee to clear the "soap". I have been sent some specialist window cleaning detergent by the equipment supplier I use so I'm going to try that in the water the next time I clean my own house windows to see how it performs. You just need to make sure you get the correct mix between liquid and water. I apply the liquid direct to the applicator and then dip it in the water when required.
