Honorable mention for: ignoring that " in the last few years" NE went to 2 and won 1 SB after JG left (and that they won 3 out of 4 since JG entered the league) and that no team, given that solid a situation at starting QB, would not have traded JG if a decent offer came along--rather just stash him on the bench for 5 years, or whenever Brady decided to leave... and that it was widely reported that SF was recently interested in dumping JG for Brady just like that........ There still is a lot of talent on the defensive side of the ball and there isn’t a better schemer in the NFL. They won’t be elite anymore but they are still going to be tough to beat.
