Bills trade for Diggs - jw no discussions on a restructure

I don't know. I dont think he fits Josh's skill set. Diggs is just a better version of John Brown. I would of liked a bigger guy that can go over middle. Diggs is a good deep threat but Josh isn't the best deep ball thrower. Hopefully I'm wrong.

He is one of the best contested catch receivers in the nfl...not sure what more you want

I bet Beane is working on some additional FA signings and felt comfortable giving away the picks. Don’t sweat the picks until you see who else we sign.

never understood fans being so uptight over draft picks beyond the 4th round.

its like fans would rather have some bum CB that won't even be on the roster in 3 years over a #1WR

Ouch! That’s crazy. I've gotta hope that they went after Nuke with that offer first. Too much WR talent available this year to give up such a haul.

Zero chance Houston turned down that offer in favor of what they got from Arizona.  It’s twice the price.

I'm glad we got him....with the Bills giving so much for Diggs, I wonder if the Houston fandom is going ballistic at what they got for Hopkins.

It does not help that their canned GM works for Bills.

I kind of had that reaction.  If we were gonna trade a first round pick, OMG I like Diggs but Hopkins >>> Diggs.

Agree but cannot see Texans trading to Bills after meeting them in playoffs.

Hopkins must have been a real pain to front office meaning if Bills did get him via 3rd party Bills might need to renegotiate contract.

I thought Diggs was throwing a hissy because he wants a new contract with more (bigger) money?

He's got 4 years at $2 million less per than Hopkins 3 years.  He will love Josh.  This is a good deal.  Imagine he and Brown on the outside and Cole roaming the underneath.  The whole scope just changed.

Doesn't he get mad when the Balls don't come his way? Wasn't he yelling at his QB last year too on the sideline?

WRs like lots of catches to increase exposure, push up next contract value and help get endorsements.  I cannot see him being happy here but I hoped the front office communicated with him with permission of Vikings.  I do wonder if has potential to make running plays like Hopkins for I think WR runs will be part of offense playbook and they did not keep McK.

He is an amazinggg talent. What an upgrade to our receiving unit! And it is exciting to see the start of all of our chips being pushed in. 2020 should be a very good year.

He has been a bit of a problem child in Minnesota which is worrying. I expect we will add money onto his current contract and that should make him a lot happier.

He has been hinting that he wanted to go to New England (why I do not know since they rarely pay market value) and if he is not happy he may dog it and try to be cut.  I also see him trying to renegotiate contract to get more guarantees or first year money which helps him if cut.  I could see him being unhappy for Josh does not throw ball to him enough.

call me crazy but I feel like allen and diggs will get along.

I think Diggs just didn't like Cousins, personally.

He wanted more deep balls from Cousins.   The Vikes offense was going more to short/intermediate passing and he supposedly was frustrated...

Doesnt fit his skill set.....Smoke and Bease had their BEST seasons last year......this team got a whole lot better when we put more speed on the field.

Yes more size is needed.....and can be found

Draft a Day 2 WR with size.  Hope that one of the TEs steps up.

After 21 pages of reflection I'm feeling pretty stoked.  I think the deep draft, my desire for Ruggs, the skewed Hopkins deal, and late hour was clouding my judgement.

I guess I was also initially concerned with the cost, and his rumored attitude. Glad you guys have cleared that up for me. His contract, especially in comparison to Coopers deal really sets this straight. Gotta love a guy with his skill set and ability to make contested catches . Go Bills!
