I never knew that , my bad

Valued for their soft texture, Kleenex and other facial tissues are at hand's reach in most homes. ... Facial tissues do not break down in water the same way toilet paper does. They should never be flushed down the toilet; flushed Kleenex can cause clogs and other serious plumbing issues.Jul 17, 2017

Geez dude don't believe everything you read on Pornhub.

Apparently here the mass panic has started to slow down and grocery stores and Costco has gone some what back to normal. Now just need to find away to get people to do more social distancing.

What I don't get is here in Canada it was up to the province to close the schools but in the U.S they let each district to decide. I would have thought each State had more say in it.

The states do. Some districts took initiative.

Canadian cities would move faster than the province if it were necessary

Greece school, but now all of Monroe county.

It was Greece-Athena. I live 3 miles from the school. The stores here were like something out of the Twilight Zone.

All Monroe County School districts (Rochester Metro) are closed.

There we go.  They're closed.

New York City’s public school system—the largest in the country—and all other school districts in downstate New York will close in order to stem the spread of the novel coronavirus, Gov. Andrew Cuomo said.

Kleenex isn’t water soluble for flushing purposes

Get a sealed can, line it with a plastic bag, and put the kleenex in it.  Tie it up and throw it away as trash.

It seems most of the country is following Ohio’s lead at this point, but are basically 3-4 days behind.

Ohio is barring eating-in at all restaurants and bars starting tonight. They were the first to shut down all schools (3 weeks), but I have heard that they may soon shut down school for the rest of the school year.

School is over for the year, people just aren’t saying it yet. Boston closed their schools til April 27th, a good friend spent 30 hours this weekend in full suit cleaning the school that had the virus.

The cleaning crew is demanding being tested as they should, the cities will avoid liability and keep guys like him out of the schools for a long stretch to let any hot zones die out and then have them deep clean.

Just me guess but I’d be shocked if schools come back before the fall.

Kids don’t get the virus I read.

Kids do get infected, but apparently don't get (very) sick.  It isn't clear yet whether they transmit infection.

From the WHO-China Joint Commission Report
Children
Data on individuals aged 18 years old and under suggest that there is a relatively low attack
rate in this age group (2.4% of all reported cases). Within Wuhan, among testing of ILI
samples, no children were positive in November and December of 2019 and in the first two
weeks of January 2020. From available data, and in the absence of results from serologic
studies, it is not possible to determine the extent of infection among children, what role
children play in transmission, whether children are less susceptible or if they present
differently clinically (i.e. generally milder presentations). The Joint Mission learned that
infected children have largely been identified through contact tracing in households of
adults
. Of note, people interviewed by the Joint Mission Team could not recall episodes in
which transmission occurred from a child to an adult
.

So early on, when only ill people were being tested, only a very few people <18 years old showed up as "cases" (were ill)

When widespread "contact tracing" and testing of all contacts were instituted, it was observed that children tested positive for the disease - but this was found by testing everyone in the household, not because the children were ill and they were testing people who came in contact with them.

To really assess what's going on with children, we need to test their blood and see if they are making anti-Covid19 antibodies (serological testing)

Many people that have the virus aren't showing any symptoms, or mild ones like a cold or flu.

But this virus spreads quickly, and a person can be infectious and spread it to other people without having any symptoms.

Don't want the grand kids visiting their grand parents who are more at risk for major illness or death.
