And now, Royal Caribbean is shutting down for 30 days....

Who would get on a cruise ship right now? I mean, even if they promised my unlimited drinks package on a 3 night cruise would be in effect for the entire quarantine......then you may have a bargain!

I better stock up.

Grocery stores have too stay open, right? They sell beer and wine here. Oh, and they used to sell toilet paper too. I can improvise on the TP better than the beer and wine. I’d estimate 80% of my closet belongs at Goodwill, but I’ll keep it for now.

Talked to my travel agent today with regard to my Puerto Rico trip.  If flights are restricted, I will get a refund.  If not, and I cancel, I will get a voucher.  I've already canceled my airbnb and got a full refund.  I'll wait on canceling the flights, hoping I get a refund.

How soon is the trip?

Hope you get out free and easy!

My 2 sisters and a couple nieces had a trip to Ecuador coming up. They were hell bent on going, but somehow sense prevailed. Travel is still one of the things I want to do the most......just NOT right now.

Amen, brother!

I don’t care if I don’t get a penny back, that’s a hard pass! I’d rather have my family for years to come.

With everything officially shut down in the Orlando area theme park related, the local 11 PM newscast did a story from a mostly deserted tourist area.....they were only able to find two tourists to talk with. Believe it or not, they actually flew into Orlando today for some crazy reason, and they were from...……….you guessed it...……...BUFFALO!!

Actually no... I expect them to all close down soon due to lack of employee's... the call out rate is incredible. Dropped 130 on supplies this am that will easily last a month. Tomorrow is the beer run.

I think food and medications MUST be made available. You can’t kill people because they can’t eat or get their meds.  I think that’s the model we will see. No unnecessary gathering of people, but you can get your necessities. The people still hitting crowded Happy Hours will be shut down, and that’s a good thing.

The employees will be glad to be among the few still getting a check. I hope appropriate precautions are taken.

I was supposed to go April 5-12, but RC shut down.  I still want to get away somewhere, but it seems everywhere is closing doors now, even Vegas. I wouldn’t be surprised to see one of the major airlines shut down also.

..on a somewhat related note, you can fly Buffalo to Vegas on short notice for $250 roundtrip.  Crazy low for that route.

Maybe even meet an internet influencer / disrupter on the flight.  She’s the one with the Ty-D-Bowl breath.

I just looked...a large chunk of the casinos on the strip are shutdown.  WOW.

Yeah, I’m changing my vote to cancel. I was so dumb a few days ago. Over the weekend I booked a trip to Miami for this weekend. I was like “it’s going to be so boring locked down for a month. I should just go to the beach.” Wasn’t paying attention and booked a non-refundable room and everything. 22 hours later, “I need to cancel this trip.” I waited on hold for an hour and 46 minutes. Fortunately they refunded me because of COVID-19. The best course of action at this point is staying home and being responsible.

I have a trip to NYC and am planning on going.

I don’t quite understand the panic. I think everyone is going to get exposed to this eventually, and it seems like it’s no different than the flu. Not sure what anyone can really do about it.

If this is a pleasure trip, you might want to reconsider because virtually all entertainment venues in New York are currently closed down, not just in NYC but throughout the state by the governor's order.   Restaurants are only open for take out or delivery.   Movie theaters are also closed.  All "non essential" businesses have been ordered to be closed to the public between 8 PM and 6 AM.  Museums and zoos are all closed.  Catholic dioceses have canceled all church activities, including Masses.  Public schools have been closed statewide, and most colleges have extended spring break or closed so that they can transition to on-line classes.   Parks are open, though, if you want to go for a walk.
