Vernon's best days are behind him in IMO, but that's just my opinion. Only McBeane can determine if he's worthy to hold a place here. Very slight. Right - I meant that if a guy like Vernon is signed I think Murphy would be the odd guy out, and wouldn’t impact their decision on Shaq. I think Shaq’s future is more tied to any long term solution they move forward with at DE, whether that be a different young FA or a high draft pick. It was a bad trade but not on the current regime, they should definitely move on if he doesn’t take a pay cut.
