YoloinOhio
Wheat has been the Bills since 1997. External search is underway Quote The Buffalo Bills and chief administrative officer Dave Wheat, a longtime employee of the franchise, are parting ways. Bills co-owners Terry and Kim Pegula announced Thursday that the team would not renew Wheat's contract, which is due to expire this month. "We would like to thank Dave for nearly 20 years of hard work and dedication to our organization and to the Western New York community," the Pegulas said in a statement released by the club. "Dave's contract was expiring this month and we informed him (Thursday) that it would not be renewed. We wish Dave and his family the best of luck in his future endeavors." An external search for a replacement is underway, according to the team. No other changes to the Bills' organizational structure are planned, the team said. Wheat oversaw several departments within the organization, including security and stadium operations for game day, as well as training camp logistics. One of the team's higher-ranking officials, he was a conduit between the football and business operations. https://buffalonews.com/2020/02/13/buffalo-bills-dave-wheat-terry-pegula-kim-pegula-nfl-football/ Edited February 14, 2020 by YoloinOhio

External search is underway https://buffalonews.com/2020/02/13/buffalo-bills-dave-wheat-terry-pegula-kim-pegula-nfl-football/ Whoa, what's up with that? Any ideas? Role per one fan pub: Dave Wheat Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) Dave Wheat worked hand in hand with Frank Cravotta in adding a statue of Ralph Wilson Jr. to Ralph Wilson Stadium — now called New Era Field. “On game days it should be a pretty big congregation area for fans being located just outside Gate 5.” said Wheat. “It’s one of the new hubs where things are going on outside the stadium. Being among the fans is right where Mr. Wilson should be.” He was also a big part of the $130 million renovation to Ralph Wilson Stadium (New Era Field) in 2014, which focused a lot on communication, the WiFi infrastructure, Internet access, some designs within the stadium and improvements to the team’s mobile app. “We want fans to experience Buffalo Bills football the way they want to,” Wheat said. I wonder if this has something to do with not seeing "eye to eye" on new stadium or stadium renovation plans? 19 minutes ago, Buffalo_Gal said: He's been there since 1997 but they are thanking him for nearly 20 years of hard work and dedication to our organization. KD in CA
CAO is one hell of a cushy job. It’s like being being a CFO without any responsibility for the numbers.

Hmmm ? Ralph was more generous on performance reviews, surprisingly enough wheat likely grew suspicious when each year they thanked him for nearly 20 years of great service though. Kirby Jackson
Feel like this is a topic that I can speak on. Dave Wheat is a very, very, very strong executive. When Russ left he basically took over the business operations for the Bills. This is a big deal and a big loss for the Bills.
