And that doesn’t even factor in the fact that it’s not even close as to who you’d want out there in a playoff win or go home game even at age 43. To move on from the greatest player of all time and not let him retire as a Patriot for any of those guys is absurd. Steve young was a hall of famer. They are heading in different directions. Brady is a mid level starter in 2020. That’s exactly what those other guys are. With that Patriots defense those guys could absolutely win as many games as Brady would!! That’s why the Patriots are okay letting him leave. Belichik is a great coach but he’s no magician. Replacing Brady with any of those alternatives does little on paper to make them a better team next year. In reality, it will completely divide their fan base and probably even their locker room. Moving on from EJ Manuel or Losman has divided our own fan base. Can you imagine what our fan base would do if we let the best player in NFL history who won us 6 Super Bowls walk for Ryan Tannehill or Teddy bridgewater? Belichik has no choice here.
