YoloinOhio
On Wednesday, Goodell said the NFL wants the Bills to be in Buffalo and be successful while adding that it is important for the team to have a stadium that is “competitive” with others in the league. He also said that the decision about which route to pursue is something the Bills and the local government have to hammer out in the near future. “Those are things that the group has to settle collectively and to address over the next several months, if not sooner,” Goodell said. The Bills’ current lease at New Era Field runs through the 2020 season.

Hapless Bills Fan
The Bills have to fix their stadium to his standards or what? He'll force us to move to Toronto? He'll stop scheduling home games? He'll hold his face until he turns blue? I mean, what happens if the Bills extend their current lease at New Era with only modest renovations? shane nelson
We may not like it, but the only way to ensure the Bills are here or the next 50 years is a new stadium or massive renovations to New Ear Field, like those in GB or KC. If a deal is done this year, next year or 5 years it does not matter, it just needs to be done. Edited January 29, 2020 by shane nelson
whatdrought
Pegs at a press conference next week: Reporter: "What did you think about Commissioner Goodell's comments regarding the stadium situation here in Buffalo?" Pegs: "That's a great question. We've decided, along with the City of Orchard Park, and the State of New York, to rename New Era field "Competent officiating" and or "Not being an #######." We expect no further complaints from Commissioner Goodell as we're certain he has no familiarity with either of those things...." I love how Goodell talks about how the State and Local Governments have to spend taxpayer dollars to prop up a franchise in his corporation. Especially when cost benefit analyses have demonstrated time and again that building new stadiums does little if anything for the local and state economy. The sad thing about Goodell is that, like his predecessors he'll be in the HOF. He's a weak man who masquerades around as the leader of a sports league that could have grown without him. 16 1

Bills are at or near the bottom of the revenue sharing pie, and the opposing teams get far less from their 40% of gate receipts in Orchard Park than they do in other stadiums. This is not coming from Roger, but from other owners. 15
whatdrought
I sometimes seriously wonder why the NFL owners put up with this clown? He's been absolutely terrible. From officiating, to player discipline, to the various scandals and other such things. How can they take him seriously? 2 1

somnus00
He wants the Bills to be successful... Is that why he stopped Vick from signing here and intervened to get philly to sign him? I'm not saying that Vick would've helped us. But that's not the point. Edited January 29, 2020 by somnus00
