It would be great if we can keep spain and then just let the same 5 start with an improvement in ford at right tackle. I love the early production and the potential of this draft class. It’s too early for me to get carried away, however. I’d call myself optimistically hopeful. It was considered a weak WR draft that turned out strong. I have no issues who they drafted with the 1st 2 picks. Hopefully Ford works out somewhere on the OL. They need to hit on a WR this draft. If he kicks inside then he may have a chance to be good. Singletary showed promise. Can he be a workhorse for us though? Knox needs to learn how to catch. Plain and simple. This was a phenomenal draft. This is the type of draft the Bills need to have every year. There was holes to fill and they got filled with very good prospects. Getting four starters for a team that was 6-10 is perfect. This draft I can see adding 2-3 starters depending on what is done in FA. Jaquan had a solid pre-season and could be a decent depth player for us. Singletary is talented, but I don’t think the intent is to ever use him as a workhorse. He’s perfect for his role. Doesn’t have the size to take 20 carries a game while blocking in the passing game consistently. Someone like Carlos Hyde would be a good pickup to replace Gore. Augie, hindsight is always easy, but we know we could have had Mahomes at 10 and not moved back for White. Now I love White and believe he is the best CB in football, and I really believe in Allen, but even a blind man can see Mahomes is something amazing. That’s why I’m really pulling for them this Sunday as well as Reid. I have nothing against SF, but I typically when not the Patriots root for the AFC team, and always root for whoever is playing the Pats. I was so pissed as Philly several years ago was in that game, ATL totally blew it, and Seattle should have won if they just would have Wilson roll out and either pitch to Lynch or take it in himself instead of that stupid call. I just went back and googled 2017 pre-draft QB rating, one site listed him as 2nd rounder, future starter, another stated "moved up to 1st round, but calculated risk, anything but a sure thing" Another site listed him as 6th best a3rd to 4th rounder (same list ranked Peterman #10 BTW) Most all had Trubisky and Watson ranked higher, with Trubisky rated #1. Another site stated 2017 QB class lacks elite talent. Peterman was ranked 4th BTW and the most under rated right behind Mahomes at 3 who was listed as boom or bust If he had gone to Buffalo with the WR's we've had, poor line play to think he'd be looking anything close to amazing is pretty crazy. After three years, we still don't have an offense anywhere close to KC and not faulting the team for that. Granted we wouldn't had had to use the picks to move up, (though a couple of those picks came from KC in the trade) so may have been further along than we actually are in the rebuild, but highly doubt he'd have looked anything close to amazing yet. There's a much better chance we'd be talking about him being a bust than anything great at least after year #2. Sorry if I missed a similar thread in my search Don’t forget Tommy Sweeney. I would have preferred a WR to Cody Ford in the 2nd and would have loved the class. With that being said, he’s okay. Ed, I don’t disagree with any of you’re comments as I’ve read the pre draft assessments as well. This why the most important word in my comments is hindsight is 20/20. No he wouldn’t be as amazing with this talent when he came out, but he eventually would have it in Buffalo. I’m praying for this year with a purged cap and excellent decisions for the last couple of years in free agency and the draft. This could be the year Allen gets everything he needs to have a top offense. I’m certainly praying for it. We have the $ and the picks to do it if McBeane keep making these good decisions on talent acquisitions. If they can find a Milano in the 5th, what can they do with this capital.
