Did...  did you just unironically post this not 10 posts down from claiming the news media to be garbage?

A person would need to have an IQ below that of a cabbage to believe that the President suggested injecting bleach or that UV therapy could treat the virus.

Sunlight is good for boosting the immune system.  Disinfectants kill the virus on surfaces.

The press is suggesting the President meant something he did not, which is par for the course.

Yes, the BBC. What an incredible bastion of socialist propaganda. There is credible journalism outside of American Thinker, Breitbart and Fox News. I would have included Druge, but he basically sold out to the commies, amirite?

You probably like that pinko rag Forbes, no?

Dr. Vin Gupta, a pulmonologist and NBC News contributor, told the network “This notion of injecting or ingesting any type of cleansing product into the body is irresponsible and it’s dangerous…It’s a common method that people utilize when they want to kill themselves.”

PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP:

Thank you very much. So I asked Bill a question that probably some of you are thinking of if you are totally into that world which I find to be very interesting. So supposing we hit the body with a tremendous whether it's ultraviolet or just very powerful light and I think you said that hasn't been checked but you are going to test it. And then I said supposing you brought the light inside the body which you can do either through the skin or in some other way and I think you said you were going to test that too. It sounds interesting.

Right. And then I see the disinfectant where it knocks it out in a minute, one minute and is there a way we can do something like that by injection inside or almost a cleaning because you see it gets in the lungs and it does a tremendous number (INAUDIBLE) interesting to check that so that you are going to have to use medical doctors with but it sounds interesting to me so we will see but the whole concept of the light the way it kills it in one minute that's--that's pretty powerful. Steve, please.

Fauci, on how we lack the ability to do enough tests now

"We absolutely need to significantly ramp up, not only the number of tests but the capacity to actually perform them," Fauci said.

That way, he continued, "you don't have a situation where you have a test, but it can't be done because there's not a swab, or not an extraction media or not the right vial -- all of those things got to be in place."

"I am not overly confident right now at all, that we have what it takes to do that," Fauci added.

Trump’s comments prompt doctors to warn against ingesting bleach

After a presentation that touched on the disinfectants that can kill the coronavirus on surfaces and in the air, President Trump pondered whether those chemicals could be used inside the human body. Doctors answered: “People will die.”

Except that’s exactly what he said. His quote is a few posts below your post.

Not here. You can read his quote. He was excited to hear about how disinfectants and UV light  killed the virus on surfaces and suggested the experts look into how to do that inside the body.

There’s no real defending this. Just hit Trump with the frying pan, move on to today, and pray that he doesn’t take up the mike as much.

Now he keeps looking for and touting short cuts he can pitch to the public to make it appear that he is gonna pull this deal out of the fire. You bet on the wrong guy trumptards.

This one hits close to home.  The number of backroom bleach ingestors is skyrocketing nationally. Housewives. Steel workers. Gamers. Oddly, pet sitters are becoming addicted at a rate 4x the general population.   It’s the opioid crisis of the residential garment sanitization industry. I fear one day every family in America will be touched by this, and I’m happy they got to you before you chased  the yellow dragon.

In fact, I think it’s irresponsible that doctors weren’t warning about the danger of drinking bleach prior to the Wuhan Virus.  It borders on medical malpractice. I also think it’s pretty impressive that it only took two journalists to break this story.

So we should have bet on the same Clintons that put our whole supply chain in China? The same ones giving away North America’s Uranium to Russia in order to enrich themselves? I’ll take a dumb comment from an honest man over betrayal of our country from sociopaths any day of the week.

It is less about that than the stupidity of Trump thinking he found a short cut like the HCQ miracle. The way out of this for healthcare and the economy is going to be long and hard. Not the Trump way.

Aren't there already warnings on bleach?

Since we know that democratic voters were the ones that thought ingesting fish cleaner was a good idea, maybe it would be more useful if doctors worked directly with the democratic party putting together PSAs for their constituents on things that, against their better judgement, they shouldn't ingest: i.e; fish cleaner, bleach, gasoline, roundup, rat poison, feces...

Or if they really do think it is a good idea to drink bleach, maybe we should just let them...

We have a serious bleach addition problem in my family, too.  Developed last night.  Empty bleach bottles strewn about this morning.  I found my cousin curled up in a corner wrapped in a Keep America Great flag with two empty bleach bottles next to him.  This, everyone, is the status quo that should be preserved.

It's not the point about ingesting bleach.  It's the point that the president is so dumb as to not recognize that it has at least some of the characteristics of a bad plan.  That is sad.

You're right.  He suggested that medical experts should investigate the efficacy of direct application of surface disinfectants to internal organs.  Viewed in that light, the comments are much more reasonable.  /end sarcasm.

Well, if you are not worried about people actually ingesting bleach, then why all the hand wriniging?

The way I see it, he was just Trump being Trump: Asking a question in his typical "stream of consciousness," inarticulate way that came off sounding stupid - but that any reasonably intelligent human being knew he wasn't suggesting to literally inject bleach.

It wasn't a bad plan, because it wasn't a plan at all. It was just a question that sounded dumb. And if dumb questions or statements really bother you that much, you might not want to have the sound on while you are watching Joe Biden.

But hey, if this is where you want to focus your outrage, be my guest.

We’ve got politicians who run around telling people that there’s a real chance a policeman will shoot you for no good reason and that half the people you bump into on the street are flat out racists....and we’re on the President for what now?  Come on people! Give the guy a break, for one single day! Geeeez

I'm not arguing with you Shosh, and @Tiberius performed an important public service here.  CIS (Chlorox Ingestion Syndrome) is a problem in all 57 states.  According to Dr. Haywood Jabloemey, head of the Bleach Survivors Recovery Clinic at the Mayo Clinic "The very fabric of our society is at risk here.  Sodium Hydrochlorite, also known as bleach and on the street as 'pale, clean, white stank and bizleech'  is not just a problem for whites.  Some studies have indicated that the impact on people of color is even more devastating.  It changes who you are, the way you look, and often users describe the sensation of feeling washed out after prolonged usage."

I have a friend on the inside at One Bill's Drive, actually a friend of a friend.  Turns out the Bill's did consider selecting Pat Mahommes in that infamous draft, but there was concern amongst many GMs that PM was a "bleacher".  We all know Coach McD is a stickler on high character players and is said to have remarked "There ain't no way, no how I'm bringing a hopped up bleach freak into this organization!".

Maybe it's not true, or just maybe Pat Mahommes is one of the lucky ones.

We are going on 2+ months where I'm guessing Trump gets a little information about this pandemic. He still doesn't get the difference between the virus and the disease. Disinfectants on surfaces kill the virus. Disinfectants in the body kill the...wait for it...body. It does not show that he's got a great understanding of the facts OR science and we should be at a point where he either should, or he should shut up and defer. It's more than a bad moment. It's a moment that shows our president has zero understanding of the very basic science around this, but it does show a certain laziness where he thinks he can complete the Hail Mary that scientists somehow can't. Today's bleach injection is yesterday's Hydrocholoquine "miracle." It's a magical thinking that ignores there are no easy ways out of this but only day-by-day upwards step where we follow a stringent plan (that smarter people than him set out the guidelines for).

Democrats might want to take a break for their own sanity. Maybe they should just follow Joe Biden's sage advice: “It’s not that they don’t want to help. They don’t know what quite to do: Play the radio… make sure you have the record player on...” and just chill the **** out....

Give me a break with your leftist ‘science’ nonsense! The scientists don’t have a terrific track record in this entire debacle. Go ahead....stay locked up in your house. The rest of us are going outside! Which is probably where we should have been all along, by the way.
