And there it is.

It's not what President Trump does that's the "greatest threat to our democracy", it's that he's mean.

That's all they can argue -- because they don't have the facts or history on their side. For three years they've been programmed to be emotional rather than rational. To see everything as "THE END OF THE REPUBLIC!" and that there are "LITERAL NAZIS IN THE STREET WHO ARE TAKING OVER THE COUNTRY!". The conditioning/programming has been so effective it carried the NPC crowd past the whole "Oops, all that Russia collusion stuff was fake, intentionally spread by the DNC, media, and Congress to divide the country" and moved immediately on to "just because he was found not guilty doesn't mean he's innocent -- LOOK AT WHAT HE DID IN UKRAINE!". Then when that whole thing fell apart due to an improper foundation (just like Russia) and a rampant case of projection, they were easily moved to the next panicked round of news stories designed to keep them emotional and uninformed.

They were warned this would happen way back when Russia was just starting to pop. They didn't listen. They mocked instead. Now they're lost.

***** 'em.

The variable that's forgotten here is the tone Cuomo and Trump project toward the media/the other side of the political spectrum. It's vastly different. When Cuomo is asked a tough question he sticks to the question. When Trump is asked a tough question he attacks the reporter.

the variable you are omitting is the difference in tone that is projected towards each individual. Trump has had to deal with #orangemanbad for 4+ years from these idiots, Cuomo hasn't. big difference.

Hope he makes a quick and full recovery.

As an aside, given his journalistic skills and quality of his work, a dark basement does seem the appropriate place for him to be doing his show....

The quip about his family enjoying his isolation was pretty funny, tbh.

Cuomo had the opportunity to purchase 15000 ventilators in 2015 at a very good price. NYS had a surplus in the billions. Instead he chose to have a panel decide to create protocols for rationing the ones that they had if there was an epidemic. Cuomo and De Blasio along with the NYC the Commissioner was encouraging people to go on with their lives, ride the subway, go to bars and restaurants well after Trump had closed down travel to and from China, Italy, SK and Europe. While Cuomo is presently doing a good job of keeping people informed (just like Trump) he is in affect being praised for what he is saying while Trump should be being praised for what he is doing. Trump is in full partnership with American businesses ramping up production of ventilators and PPE's. He has the military involved with setting up 8 hospitals in the NYC area plus a floating hospital. I heard last night from a Corps of Engineer official that they had identified 160+ sites for temporary hospitals around the U.S. The Git It Said governor vs. the Git Er Done President.

Correct. It is the height of hypocrisy and intellectual dishonesty go on and on and on, ad nauseum, about Trump not taking this seriously and waiting too long, and not spend an equal amount of time and energy going after Cuomo, de Blasio, and every other politician that has a voice and any authority.

+1 -- but the media won't do it. Because fear sells better than hope. And their job right now is to make you afraid.

So true. A scared electorate that cannot go back to work just might be inclined to vote for more socialism. That’s the hope of the left and the LSM

WILLIAM BENNETT & SETH LEIBSOHN: Time for a Second Opinion.

We truly are shutting down America and harming a great many Americans, based on the worst fears that have not been true and are not on the horizon. We are scaring the hell out of the citizenry. A few additional statistics help counsel a lowering of our national temperature:

The vast majority of deaths from the virus are of people over the age of 70 with underlying frailties.

The focus on New York where, of course, most of the media is based, is also flooding and distorting the picture for the rest of the country.

Of course we need to pay attention to ground zero, which is New York. But what happens there is not what is happening everywhere. For example, our most populous state, California shows 149 deaths, 11% of the total in New York. Texas, our second most populous state, shows nothing like the death toll in New York, with 47 deaths, about 3.5% of the total in the Empire State.

Read the whole thing.
