Just checking in to see if there's still bizarro world where a small base believes Trump hasn't screwed the pooch with this entire situation that all goes back to his YUUUGE ego... ya know, his whole dismissal of the pandemic preparedness team and total and utter screwup of the initial testing.

Yep... bizarro world is evidently alive and well over here.

Now this moron wants everyone in Church by Easter??? What a jackass...

What distance will you guys go to defend this idiot?

I hope it's more than 6 feet

Even though most of you won't likely admit it, at least you're mostly starting to understand that this guy won't be reelected and you're about to see @Deranged Rhino with a new avatar...

though I really don't know if he's going to care since he appears to be a Russian bot as he posts a whole lotta propaganda

How’s the Liberal kook Cuomo doing with this?

He locks down New Rochelle but let’s New York City infect the whole ***** northeast with no lockdown?

Cuomo is dog ***** on the bottom of Trump’s shoe.

Such stupidity.

Listen to your experts.

That's not Donald Trump in this case. That's Anthony Fauci.

"False Equivalence"

Figure it out.

Carry on with your pathetic defense of an inept President who literally believes he's very knowledgeable about absolutely everything and thus has a hard time trusting actual experts in his field.

But I'm sure some of his dumb cult followers will wind up listening to him and going out to Easter mass...

the irony in this post is astounding.

Cuomo and Trump have handled it very similarly, to be honest.

It’s very disappointing to see posters like transbillsfan continue to be so myopic in their thinking.

it’s always good to be critical of politicians and the media, but to be so over the top blind partisan at a time like this is truly another level of derangement.

Here’s some free advice to transbillsfan and others that are obviously so hysterical right now:  turn the TV off, put the phone/tablet/computer down, pick up a book and read a nice story.

How so?

They've both directly complimented each other's efforts; both accepted and publicly supported the promising, yet preliminary, results of the malaria drug in combating covid; neither is forcing a hard shutdown, but encouraging responsible behavior; both are looking at how to restart the economy as soon as possible and how to go about it

WASHINGTON — After seven weeks of downplaying the threat of a looming pandemic, President Donald Trump has gone back to a favorite well: blaming his predecessor, Barack Obama.

“We inherited a broken, obsolete system,” Trump said Sunday, the third straight White House briefing in which he has blamed his administration’s slow response to the coronavirus pandemic on Obama, even though Trump has been in office now a full three years and two months.

“We took over an obsolete, broken testing system that wouldn’t have worked for even a small problem, let alone one of the biggest pandemics in history,” Trump said Saturday, a day after claiming: “We inherited a broken, old — frankly, a terrible system.”

It is unclear what “system” Trump was referring to. His administration’s failure to aggressively ramp up coronavirus testing in early February and prepare hospitals for a surge of critical respiratory cases, experts said, was largely due to his own attempts to downplay the virus to avoid hurting the stock market and, in turn, his own reelection.

In all honesty ....  there are a number of people here that do that WRT to Trump.

The Reality TV Con Man isn't a politician and is totally out of his league dealing with a crisis.

This isn't a business he can "turn over" to his investors.

Geez you people like to argue about everything! Does it ever stop? The country as a whole is doing really well. The vast majority of the cases of this virus are confined to a single city, who’s extremely dense urban living conditions are the perfect breeding ground for this sort of health problem. That isn’t the President’s fault, nor is it the Governor’s fault. Take NYC out of the equation and you’d have a completely different set of numbers. But no! We have to turn EVERYTHING into politics. We have to look for every possible way to spin EVERYTHING as the President’s fault. Not good America....not good.

what would you do differently?

see, part of the problem with people like you and trans, and the media is that all you do is use vague statements and platitudes to emote your feelings and then criticize endlessly, yet you don’t offer a single critical thought or solution.

When all is said and done, not forcing the hard shutdown of NYC will be looked upon as a big mistake.

Mark my words.
