I would hope rational people now recognize the travel bans are useless unless you plan on going the China/New Zealand route.

Trump had a first hand exposure to Covid weeks after our shutdown. Once something this contagious is here, it's here. Stopping some cases coming in on planes is putting your pinky in the crumbling Hoover Dam.

So you’re saying biden is racist?

Especially when anybody and everybody that wants to wade across the Rio Grande to enter the country can do so unimpeded.  For some reason nobody in charge gives a hoot if people entering under those conditions are infected.  Maybe Lord Fauci (aka "The Science") provided a waiver of some sort?

So Joey's racist and dumb for not seeing what happened under Trump?

Not sure he's racist but they both appear to be pretty dumb. Biden is dumber on this because he's got more lessons by now.

Well Trump was called racist by Dems for doing it last year.  As for being dumb, wrong.  Sure the virus was/is likely already in the country, but shutting down travel and limiting the exponential increase in cases from each new case that would otherwise have entered is a good idea.

When you're the actual people in charge the correct answer is to shut down the travel.  When you're just playing politics and taking pot shots from the cheap seats, you make stupid statements and call the people in charge 'racists'.  The Democratic leadership exposed themselves on this last year. They should be shunned!  Absolutely HORRIBLE from Chuck, Nancy and Joe....as usual.

So you're for shutting down internally then to reduce transmission? That's stupid.

That's the advantage and benefit of having the media engaged as the propaganda organization of your political party.  When the opposition does it they're evil.  When you do it there's praise and all is good.  And critics that dare to object are silenced, chastised, and ignored.

Reps are doing the same thing. It was OK to shutdown last year. This year it's not OK.

Suit up in your partisan uniform, no matter how stupid.

I simply can't agree with you there. Republicans were OK with the first two weeks of Flattening the Curve, and not much at all after that.

Are you kidding? Trump took endless credit for shutting down travel and saving "millions" of lives.

Where did I say "internally"?

Oh OK, so your point, amusing as it is, is that stopping people from arriving into the US is going to make a big difference when the virus is already circulating?

This has been proven untrue how many times already in this pandemic?

But OK, if that's what you want to go with.

And now they want to pretend this new variant found in South Africa WILL CAUSE ANOTHER SURGE and may end up locking us all down so everyone better get more shots and wear more masks.

Even though they really don’t know diddly about it.

Which, of course, Brit was good enough to point out:

Extremely mild.

No hospitalizations.

Almost as if COVID is behaving like other viruses and its mutations are becoming less severe, even if they are more transmissible. Sort of like OTHER viruses we’ve been living with for a long long loooooong time.

Crazy, right?

Huh? Yes, Trump took credit for it. That’s the entire point! The Democrats called him racist for it. Now Biden is proposing the SAME THING. It wasn’t motivated by racism when Trump did it and it isn’t racist now. You don’t get the hypocrisy here?

Wait.  This needed a study?

COVID rules are blamed for 23% dive in young children's development: Disturbing study shows scores in three key cognitive tests slumped between 2018 and 2021, with face mask rules among possible culprits

Face masks and other social distancing measures may in fact impede on children's development, a new study executed by Brown University has found

The probe analyzed the cognitive development of the youngsters through infancy, childhood and adolescence

In the study, researchers first analyzed 1,070 assessments administered on 605 kids prior to March 2020, when COVID lockdowns and masking began

A further 154 assessments from 118 kids administered between March 2020 and June 2021, during the height of the pandemic, were then carried out

Thirty-nine children born in 2018 and 2019 were analyzed over the course of the pandemic, into 2021.

The report found that there was a 23 per cent drop in scores measuring kids' intelligence quotients since the start of the pandemic

The study also found similar dips in the same span in regards to developing children's ability to communicate, both verbally and though subtle facial cues

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10247315/Face-masks-harm-childrens-development-Study-blames-significantly-reduced-development.html

The kids will be fine

Hey you should have data now after 4 months of maskless Florida schools vs the oppressed Blue states.

Where are the numbers on kids in maskless schools vs masked?

My guess as to why you don't have it is because it won't help the coup.
