Incorrect.  The learning was partial and only for preK-2 and some high school seniors.  Nowhere near anything "full."

I have some inside sources for this.  For February yes.  That's the plan.  They're planning for a full return in March while providing virtual learning for kids who "opt out."  Also, the city has the judges in their back pocket so the teacher's union doesn't stand a chance in court.

This is what they've been saying going on 11 months now.  Yes they're all "planning" to go back.  But they keep pushing and pushing back and delaying and delaying.  And kids keep getting set back and crushed.

Start partial.  Full hybrid the next month.  No one talking about when they'll be full normal childhood again.  Nobody.

Based on all the metrics they have set....government....the unions...and the public that's all good with it.....for those that can't think, this virus isn't going anywhere.  Many people are not going to get a vaccine; we are telling people that even when they get it.....PLEASE STILL DISTANCE.  Why?

Ok....so till when?  Why am I taking this vaccine you're not mandating btw?  Why exactly?

There is no plan to open High Schools.

Biden's "100 days plan" to reopen the schools is K--8 only.

Guess what Emperor Fauci told the AFT yesterday:

“The President is taking very seriously the issue both from the students’ standpoint and from the teachers’ standpoint. And he really wants to, and believes, that the schools need to reopen in the next 100 days, essentially all K-8 schools within 100 days.....

“That’s the goal. That may not happen. Because there may be mitigating circumstances. But what he really wants to do is everything within his power to help get to that.”

"There may be mitigating circumstances...."

Oh.....and in 100 days....it's May.  We really opening up school for a month?  How stupid and ignorant can everyone possibly be?  Don't demand answers or anything.  The kids have 5 childhoods they'll be fine.

Mayor Bloomberg had w good editorial in the Seattle Times today.

https://www.seattletimes.com/opinion/getting-kids-back-into-classrooms-should-be-a-national-priority/

Quote

In addition to the terrible toll COVID-19 has taken on the nation’s health, it’s been a calamity for American education. Only about 15% of school districts offered full-time in-person classes last fall. For students and parents elsewhere, the pandemic has meant navigating novel and often dubious remote-learning software. Any parent of a young child can attest that virtual instruction typically falls somewhere between subpar and hopeless.

The results have been alarming but not surprising. Early research suggests sharply reduced learning gains; widening racial disparities in achievement; and an eruption of anxiety, loneliness, depression and other mental-health afflictions among students isolated from their peers and stuck at home. Some districts have seen a rash of suicides. Education analysts warn that the long-term consequences — for disadvantaged kids, for racial equity, even for America’s global competitiveness — could be disastrous.

The bolded is why we need to get kids back in school as soon as humanly possible.  Rich or upper middle class kids have broad band, their own laptop and their parents hire tutors or go to private school.  Poorer kids don't have that are falling further behind.  We all believe in equity, right?  The current situation has no equity.  The gap between the haves and have nots is widening.

We round out the week with another 3,700 more dead Americans up on Uncle Joe’s tote board! Well done Mr President. Good to know you’ve got that 400 page plan under your pillow. Now, if you can only get past the Table of Contents before your afternoon nap or your daily social justice sermon we’ll really be getting somewhere.

The face mask that could end the pandemic

N95 masks are considered the gold standard in personal protective equipment because they block 95% of large and small particles utilizing a unique electrostatic filter.

Some experts like Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard Medical School physician Dr. Abraar Karan have been advocating for public use of N95 masks from the start of the pandemic. In an interview with CNN Chief Medical Correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta, Karan outlined why N95s are critical at this stage of the pandemic.

"If for four weeks the country essentially wore these masks in those risky settings like that indoors, what kind of difference do you think it would make?" Gupta asked.

"This would stop the epidemic," Karan responded.

If only the CDC demanded the US build capacity to make these masks 24/7  at the start of the pandemic.

"Cloth masks don't block aerosols."

Thank you.  Thank you for confirming.

Admitting what we all knew from day 1 they just couldn't tell you because running out of toilet paper would be the least of your concerns.  Remember libs.....Trump told Woodward it was airborne in January of 2020.

So have the mask wearers in America are wasting their time and doing absolutely nothing.

As to the N95 blocking "small particles."  Ok how does it handle the much smaller then small covid particles and what studies are there that shows the mask does better then me just not sneezing or shouting at people inside for an hour.

Also, considering everything is one big gigantic f...ing lie, we should be full open.  You do you and stay home in the N95 and maybe put another one on just to be super safe.

OF COURSE a “Karan” would say wearing an N95 would end the pandemic.

We are fighting two pandemics - COVID-19 and willful ignorance/arrogance strolling down douchebag lane.

Some teacher unions threaten to strike if have to teach in regular class or older teachers can retire and cause a shortage.

Vaccinate  teachers , staff , bus drivers as a priority .

The elderly are, should be, and always have been the priority!

How would you get schools to reopen fulltime ?

You tell our young teachers to get back to work! Just like everyone else in America’s been doing for almost an entire year now! You think that lady scanning your groceries isn’t coming into way more hourly contact with total strangers than a teacher? You bet she is!

Public school teachers have a union that can strike . Having healthy 65 and older getting the vaccine now is too soon .

So we’re NOT following the science? Wow! When did that change? Oh right...I forgot, the minute Uncle Joe won the election. Got it!
