Dammit.

Was really looking forward to going to Pakistan this year.

Edit:  "Trump voters?"

Did I miss the scientific peer reviewed study that says:

"Virus unique in human history:  Trump voters are responsible for its spread."

The public sector unions actually ended his Governorship around 2005.

The largest contingent of anti-maskers in the world? Funny how America which has 4% of the world's population and ranks 145th in population density has more covid cases and deaths than any other country in the world.

Are they infected?

Where is the science?

9 out of 10 Americans are wearing masks...

Oh wait.....that's right.  You probably think Twitter is real life and bc a bunch of folks complain on there it means they arent wearing masks gotcha.

Im sure those protests 2 months ago had zero to do with spread.

And if they didn't ........we should be attending sporting events.

Yet another country that doesn’t believe in masks.

Read the article.  Definitive sounding comments from their top public health official and from Norway.    And for that matter it seems some from WHO are highly skeptical.

They even say the same things some of us are saying in which there is very little data to support the notion that masks make any real impact.

The masks stuff is stupid.  Not only can a virus get though a mask or bandana, but think how many times people touch their face exponentially who never touched their face before, when wearing a mask. And what about those eyeballs? Fauci jumped the shark with goggle advice (for the average person), although if you want to wear a mask and believe it is a good deterrent, the goggles to cover your eyes probably are a good idea.

Washing your hands is probably better advice. I do worry about all the hand washing and purelling, etc leading to weaker immune systems, but maybe in the short term is will not matter?

Anyhoooo viruses gonna virus.

To any here that still has one or both your parents, love 'em while you've got them, cause some day you won't anymore.

Just did FaceTime with my mom and family.  It’s her 95th on Tuesday. I was supposed to be there. Thanks Covid and it’s subsequent media and government hysteria.

I have my strong convictions on what I believe in regards to masks and it is backed by actual data.  With that said, I wear them in public if I Know I'm going to be close to other people simply out of respect to the community.

I did find this to be interesting.

ExcessDeaths.thumb.png.820feaef37f596e7a5f2a28b2d3b8c38.png

This chart right here is from the CDC.  It is an excess death chart and this one here shows the excess deaths EXCLUDING COVID-19.   The portion that is in Maroon color is essentially the expected number of deaths.  The portion in light grey is the excess deaths over the average expected number.

Look at the excess deaths number.  In some cases the excess deaths for outpace the expected number of deaths.

Here is how they define it:

Quote

A range of estimates of excess deaths is provided based on comparing the observed numbers of deaths to two different thresholds, by week and jurisdiction: 1) the average expected number of deaths, and 2) the upper bound of the 95% prediction interval of the expected number of deaths. Negative values, where the observed count fell below the thresholds, were set to zero. The percent excess was defined as the number of excess deaths divided by the threshold. The total number of excess deaths in each state was calculated by summing the excess deaths in each week, from February 1, 2020 to present. Similarly, the total number of excess deaths in the US was calculated by summing the total numbers of excess deaths across the jurisdictions.

This is partially what I'm talking about @Doc Brown   To be able to properly analyze this, it is impossible to view COVID-19 in a vacuum which you seem to be doing.   Some of these states have far more deaths than what they are normally seeing after excluding COVID-19 related deaths.

Also, another factor in which we've touched on here.  How many people do you honestly believe would still be here today that died "due to COVID-19" if COVID-19 hadn't have come about?    I have very little doubt that excluding the NON COVID-19 related excess deaths that a significant portion of these people in their 80's and 90's were on the verge of dying and they just happened to have COVID-19.  Or possibly that it accelerated their death by a few weeks/months.

These people could have died in dignity with their family members around their death bed, but they were deprived of that and had to die alone or with strangers who often times don't care about their patients.  It's heartbreaking to think of such circumstances but that is what these draconian lock downs did.  They deprived people of dignity and proper funerals.

95? WOW? May God continue to Bless her! My Mom was 62, and Dad was 37 when I lost them, both after long illnesses. Not a day goes by I don't think of them.

I’m sorry man. That is just way too young. And yes mom will be 95. Her mom was 95 when she passed and her grandma was 99 when she died. I was fortunate enough to have known all three generations!

Source?

I can tell you that absolutely isn't true in Texas.

If that were true the pandemic would look a lot like other countries where citizens follow mask ordinances.

In April, Half of the Public Had Worn a Face Mask in the Past Month. Now, That Number Is 95%

A July 23-26 Morning Consult survey found that 95 percent of adults have worn a face mask in the past month in public spaces such as grocery stores or parks, with 79 percent saying they “always” wore the coverings and 16 percent saying they wore them “sometimes.”

Thanks. I never would have expected that. I stand corrected.

It is interesting that the numbers seem to be a little lower in the south and midwest but I wonder if that could be what's responsible for Florida and Texas or if there are other factors. I'll keep an eye on this site for other surveys.

This is how you lead.

This is how you "defeat" a virus!

This is what "victory" looks like.

Instead of asking wtf is going, the media will cheer this as the only way.  Until November 4.

well, THAT’S not good.

Boston Red Sox pitcher Eduardo Rodriguez will miss the rest of the season as he recovers from a heart issue, the team announced Saturday.

Rodriguez has been diagnosed with myocarditis, an inflammation of the heart that the team believes is a result of the left-hander's recent bout with the coronavirus. He tested positive for COVID-19 before the start of summer camp. While he was cleared and returned to workouts on July 18, he was shut down a week later after an MRI revealed his ailment.

The 27-year-old had been slotted in as the team's No. 1 pitcher this season and Opening Day starter. Instead, Rodriguez will sit out the 2020 season.

Red Sox's Rodriguez awaits heart test results

Rodriguez said last Sunday that his doctors told him that 10-20% of people who have had COVID-19 also have been diagnosed with myocarditis.

Trying to say is missing data is not deaths ( feel those that pass away) but those might suffer long term issues. That's the MISSING data.

More on herd-like immunity being achieved at a much lower level than initially thought.

This thought is becoming more mainstream as indirect references are being made by mainstream analysts such as Gottlieb and Silver.

Contrary to popular belief the US is one of the highest mask compliance countries in the Western world.  Germany and Italy I believe are/were slightly higher aside from that only Asia ranks higher with near 100% compliance.

This is why it’s called panic porn.

When mainstream outlets promote sensationalist stories and headlines, view it with extreme skepticism and do your own research that is outside of the mainstream.  They have no incentive that involves the whole truth.

Ya THINK !

CDC director admits hospitals, medical folks have ‘perverse incentive’ to falsely count Covid deaths

by Vivek Saxena

Original Article

U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Robert Redfield has confirmed that, despite claims otherwise from the left, there is indeed a “perverse incentive” for hospitals to overcount their coronavirus deaths by falsely attributing unrelated deaths to the virus.

Asked during a House Oversight and Reform hearing Friday to comment on what Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer, a Republican, described as a “perverse incentive for medical folks to claim that somebody died of COVID versus an automobile accident, for instance,” Redfield admitted that the congressman had a point. Watch the full back-and-forth discussion below: [video]

OF COURSE. BUT YOU SEE, THAT WAS THE INTENT ALL ALONG:

Longer Lockdowns Associated with Much Worse Economic Outcomes.

And no, not just to unseat Trump, though that was likely part of it.  Follow the bouncing ball:

All the communist dictatorships in the world only came into power after a SIGNIFICANT disruption. Okay, often self-created. but more importantly, the soft despotism of socialism in Europe and most of the world came on the heels of the economic destruction and disruption of WWII.

Now the peasants have stopped thinking socialism and globalism are their salvation. From the incoherent explosions of France, to the elections in Britain, to the even larger explosions (which we let be tamped down) of Hong Kong, there’s a global revolt against the self-proclaimed aristocracy, the “intelligentsia” of socialism.

So?

Lockdown, incalculable destruction and world immiseration.  That will show the peasants! And bring them to heel quite quick.
