The Next Pandemic: SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19

As new and better testing solutions come online, we are seeing commercial lab testings drop (since we can do the tests easier and faster without the labs, including on the spot tests).

Calling this a science based reopening. Border control is more important than ever.

Pence:  joined today with a bipartisan group for input. The new guidelines are a produce of science and common sense, and a broad range of advisors across the nation.

Destroyed businesses, jobs, and lives, also horrible.

POTUS: We can’t save lives without saving our economy.

CLOSING PARKS WAS ALWAYS A STUPID IDEA:

Outdoor Transmission of COVID:

“We identified only a single outbreak in an outdoor environment, which involved two cases.

The first salient feature of the 318 identified outbreaks that involved three or more cases is that they all occurred in indoor environments.

Although this finding was expected, its significance has not been well recognized by the community and by policy makers. Indoors is where our lives and work are in modern civilization.

The transmission of respiratory infections such as SARS-CoV-2 from the infected to the susceptible is an indoor phenomenon. . . . This study, if true, could raise important questions about the wisdom of closing public parks in urban areas, particularly those urban areas in which large groups of people live in substandard buildings.”

Pence:  focus on mitigation and watching that no new hot spots start (these can be statewide or countywide).

Dr Birx: going through the phases quickly.
Downward trajectory for 14 days.
Hospitals need to be able to treat patients without resorting to crisis care.

She is going through charts that OAN is not showing. ?

That is the precise calculus DNC leadership has been running since January when they dragged their feet sending the impeachment articles to the Senate, timing it perfectly (purely by coincidence, I'm sure ;) ) when the first infected person from Wuhan made it to Seattle...

Don't go along with your alien conspiracy theories, but you've been dead nuts on with the FISA/ RussiaGate, UkraineGate/ etc.

If there is anything legit to THIS theory, Joe from Winslow is going to have a lot of people coming to his views.  REALLY hoping you're being too cynical on this one and this is more aliens than the Insider Baseball you've been sharing.  (Expect that you are, no offense intended.)

Dr Birx: They are doing sentinel sightings for asymptomatic cases (nursing homes, clinics, and (somewhere else - native American populations).
They are really gonna watch the nursing homes.
the first cases always were in nursing homes.
Also listing face coverings, washing hands, stay home if sick, wash your hands, etc.

He clearly doesn't have a clue what the "military" does, how it operates, or how many people it employs...

He's going all Neville Chamberlin. Don't worry. it didn't happen this millennium so it doesn't count.

Press asked Fauci about large crowds at sporting events in phase 3, Fauci said yes (watching for setbacks).

A number of Governors will be opening soon (press question, Trump answered).
Trump talking about sports, they will start without fans (made for  television).

Someone asked Trump (again) about states opening tomorrow. He said "yes" they can if they met the 14 days.

“Surveillance”. Awesome.

“If you’re sick, stay home”. Yeah. What can go wrong here?

You were ranting before his presser, besides him disbanding the military and shutting everything down until Labor Day what would have helped you shut up? So surprised you don’t like any of this.

It’s an impossible situation, have some balance and see both sides of the nightmare. They can’t calculate the loss of life from this thing as we have all been a witness to. It’s a total unknown and yes that’s scary to face our own mortality.

Know what they can accurately calculate? Financial ruin and disaster, which we are heading towards for the sake of minimizing the unknown. Overall people have done the right thing and kept this from being the worst case scenario. Any sane individual doesnt want more folks dieing than necessary. It’s sad that no matter what we do people will continue to die from it. I just don’t think we can sit idle for months on end hiding from life itself.

Trump is hoping that something will be happening onthat $250B SBA funding. Democrats like it, Republicans love it, we are negotiating with the Democrats.

Asked by the press which states will be opening, Trump said that he will allow the governors to announce it themselves.

I ask again. Why even lock it all down in the first place then? And what models? The ones that we have based on SD?

Nukes. Why have them then?

Locking down was a "retreat" method meant to gather information and data on the extent of the virus, which we were sorely lacking, while also trying to keep the hospitals from becoming overwhelmed (which was fairly successful). Nobody, from Cuomo to trump and everyone ideologically in between in a position of leadership, meant for a shutdown until vaccine.

And that’s my concern. Once we open it all up again they will be overwhelmed. Oh well. It is what it is. No easy answers here.
