They never said it was a hoax and you know that. Trying to blame the president is disgusting and pathetic.

those people suck, they exposed themselves as suck-people every day of the Trump Admin

of course they'd take this tactic

ignore them, they aren't worth the sweat off my dog's *****

Some people see the glass as half full, some people see the glass as half empty, and Democrats see the glass as inevitably shattering into a million pieces and everyone dies of thirst...

Seems like the Dems are looking to the scientists for predictions and the Repubs are still getting their 'information' from Trump and Fox News.  We will see how it plays out.

Are you saying the daily+ briefings by an all star panel of medical professionals aren't keeping everyone informed? I watched the Odd Couple "debate" last night. Their solutions were to do what Trump has already done. Oh, and invest our resources in methods that they know nothing about but should be successful because their cause is righteous.

Not true.  They also want to deploy the military, because something something magic something what, you don't want to, why do you want everyone to die?

No, I was replying to the issue of the differences between Dem and Repub expectations on the future path of this outbreak.  I think the reason they differ so much is due to the information sources used by each group.  Denying reality worked for a long time for Trump and for Fox viewers and they won't turn away from those sources so quickly in spite of the unfolding facts.

Key word is all this is "confirmed"

They are barley testing here yet

Silly boy, the military is going to build hospitals. That is if they can find a way to power the trucks they need to bring the supplies to the job sites.

Maybe Joe could give the bottle a good rubdown and the Genie/Aladdin could provide enough magic carpet rides to get the job done.

https://www.cnbc.com/2020/03/16/new-york-new-jersey-and-connecticut-agree-to-close-restaurants-limit-events-to-less-than-50-people.html

Quote

The governors of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut have agreed to a common set of rules to reduce density throughout the region, closing movie theaters, most restaurants and bars and limiting public gatherings to fewer than 50 people.

“We have agreed to a common set of rules that will pertain in all of our states, so don’t even think about going to a neighboring state because there’s going to be a different set of conditions,” New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced Monday during a press call on the fast-spreading COVID-19 outbreak in the U.S.

The states will prohibit crowds of 50 or more, including private parties. Restaurants, bars, gyms and movie theaters will need to close by 8 p.m. on Monday. Casinos, other than tribal casinos, will also need to close. Restaurants that can serve take out food will be allowed to continue doing so, governors Cuomo, Ned Lamont of Connecticut and Phil Murphy of New Jersey announced in a joint press call. The rules are in effect “until further notice,” Murphy said.

The federal government has “been behind from day one on this crisis,” Cuomo said. “States, frankly, don’t have the capacity or the power to make up for the federal government.” He called on U.S. officials to coordinate closings across the country, saying state and local leaders have adopted a “hodge podge” of different actions.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Sunday urged people across the U.S. to cancel or postpone events with 50 or more attendees for the next eight weeks to try to contain the fast-moving coronavirus pandemic.

The truth is pretty much the opposite. I'm watching a lot of right-leaning folks work together to help those who can't help themselves, organizing ways for people to get help with groceries and the such.

People on the left...as this post and every from @Tiberius proves...is point and blame.

Everything.

There are never solutions with leftists. Only blame. It's extremely embarrassing, and if there is a small chance you chuckleheads could keep your NPC thoughts to the message boards at Moveon and Huffpo, the rest of the people on this board would greatly appreciate it.

What is the point you are trying to make by displaying these numbers?  You aren't still beating the drum for 'no big deal' and 'total overreaction' due to current death numbers, are you?

If so, you did something similar a week or so ago....but with much smaller Covid-19 numbers.  Do you see that these numbers are growing rapidly?  Let me repeat, this outbreak is just beginning here.  When we look back on this in a couple of years, I think the final numbers will be tragically high.  But, I hope I am wrong...honestly I do.   Time will tell.

one night I had to drive home in an ice storm, on the highway i was good at 60 km/h

that took 2 hours without incident

when i got back to the city, for the last few miles home, people were barely crawling around at 20 km, terrified to move at all

i had to put up with it for awhile....

Finding blame is an interesting issue but not really related to why Dems and Repubs, in the NBC poll, have such different expectations for the future of this outbreak.

As you have told me before, if you don't like to read someone's posts, that is on you to put them on ignore.

For someone who was just in Spain, I would think you'd be a little more aware of how quickly this is spreading.

I wonder how many cases there would've been if China did not quarantine a city of 10 million?  Or Italy shut down its country?  If we simply let this play out like a flu, do you know how many people would die?

Did you hear Fauci on TV yesterday?  Vs Trump who was so giddy about the Fed cutting interest rates?  He really is not fit to lead on this thing because he is such a narcissist. Great guy to go against the deep state, but not a virus...

That is what I thought.  I think, with all due respect, you are not properly processing the unfolding facts.  Certainly no need to fight over food, water, or TP, but the social restrictions are not being overdone, imo.

The idea of flattening the curve is very sensible.  In a given locale, if the hospital's capabilities are overrun with more dying patients than they can care for, death rates will far exceed a few percent.

Not true. Declaring a state of emergency allows for circumventing things. They waited too long to take it seriously because trump has been more concerned about the stock market.

Even yesterday he was so giddy about Fed rate cut, and said Wall Street would be happy. Apparently they aren’t...

You know any other tunes, or are you just a one trick pony?
