  • Hapless Bills Fan changed the title to Tom Brady’s (former) backup is playing in the Super Bowl, thoughts

I haven't seen Stidham play since college but in college his release was somewhere between Kaep and Tebow on the awfulness scale. It's like he's pulling the ball out of a holster on his hip rather than throwing from his ear like you're supposed to. Strip sack city

49ers' Nastiness Shows in Stomping of Aaron Rodgers and the Packers

If you want to know who the 49ers are—truly are—look no further than tight end George Kittle and Nick Bosa

Its a tough and interesting thing to weigh.

On one hand, the Patriots made 2 Superbowls since "choosing" Brady over Garopollo, and won one of them, and also another Division Title and a 12-4 record.  Do they make and/or win a Superbowl with Jimmy G?  Not sure, but you can make a case against it.  Especially if you transpose the knee injury from last season.  Most fan bases would kill and maim for that 3-year run.

On the other hand, the Patriot's CC appears to be nearly maxed out on Brady.  Looking forward, they would be pretty much set at QB for the next 10 years and it would be likely they could maintain the same standard for success.  They have an uncertain future at QB moving forward, and we know that can be an awful existence.

Garoppolo is nothing special. He's a game manager.

I see lots of 49'ers games and they have been successful because they have a dominant defense, an excellent running game and a young star at Tight End.

Garroppolo throws a lot of bad looking interceptions and a bunch of passes that were near interceptions that defenders could not come down with.

The 49'ers success this year is not due to their quarterback.

Brady should go to the Titans. Look how far they got with Mariota and Tannehill. Brady makes them contenders and there’s also the Mike Vrabel connection.

If Brady leaves NE, I think he ends up with the Chargers---Calf boy goes home. Rivers has packed up & moved to Fla---seems like he's done with the Chargers.

I've heard a bunch of talk crediting the Defense and and the run game.  I don't seethe NFL world gushing over Jimmy G  (well maybe except for his looks and his Ex porn start GF)

we will soon have what the 49ers have, with a better QB.  We have Kroft and Oliver!!!

we need another RB or two so we can have a backfield like San Fran.

Shady McCoy and Sammy "Tyrod doesn't throw me enough balls" Watkins and Reggie Ragland are all "playing" in the super bowl

wrong thread?

well, Shady will be inactive most likely, as he was in the AFC Championship game.

The media gushed over him when he was drafted. He had a good outing in the East-West Shrine game and all the "experts" were saying that he was the draft's hidden gem that year.

Then he goes to the Patriots* and the whole football world gasped in awe. Thinking that he was Brady's replacement and he would lead the dynasty for another 30 years(sarcasm).

Don't let his win-loss record fool you, he has done very little to receive the accolades that people want to give him.
